Compared to other shipping companies, Carnival has very spacious inside staterooms. In some staterooms there are additional fold-out duvets or sofa beds available, making them ideal for families. The outside staterooms have large panoramic windows, which offer a wonderful view of the sea and the respective destinations. If you stay in a balcony cabin, you will find that the possibility of sitting outside, relaxing and enjoying your own privacy while admiring the scenery as it glides past, adds to the special cruise experience. The staterooms have a window and a private balcony and are equipped with two foldaway single beds or one queen size bed. Furthermore, Carnival offers various suites, such as junior suites, ocean suites or grand suites.

Carnival Cruise Lines emphasizes the entertainment onboard and yes: it is very difficult not to be entertained on board. But this does not mean that passengers will feel disturbed by wildly partying people all day. There is enough room to relax and enjoy some quietness. The dress-code reflects this concept: casual attire is perfect for almost any situation. Only for dinner in the main restaurants a more elegant style is recommended. There are even one or two festive evenings, where evening dress is required, but you may easily escape this when not dining in the à la carte restaurants. Though guests come from all over the world, usually most people on board are US citizens.

The gastronomy on board Carnival Radiance is very diverse and flexible. This is ideal for families with small children. The buffet restaurant offers international specialities, desserts, sandwich variations, chopsticks and menus for figure-conscious guests. For the small hunger in between, the Guy's Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que or a burger from Guy's Burger Joint is perfect. The Kid's Menus should also delight demanding children. For a sophisticated dinner, we recommend a visit to the à la carte restaurant with free choice of meal times. The ambience is as appealing as the fantastic panoramic view.

Depending on age, there are various clubs and camps where children are optimally looked after and get to know playmates of the same age. Entertainment for the time spent together on board is provided by the great shows à la Las Vegas in the elegant Liquid Lounge. This is also where attractions such as Bingo and the Hasbro - The Game Show take place. The Carnival's Seaside Theatre on the Lido Deck is popular. The latest blockbusters from Hollywood, sports broadcasts and concerts can be enjoyed in the open air.

Travelers under the age of 21 must be accompanied by a parent, grandparent or legal guardian who is at least 25 years old and staying in the same stateroom. Young people under the age of 21 are not permitted to consume alcohol. Traveling babies must be at least six months (twelve months for Atlantic crossings and cruises to Hawaii and South America) to be allowed on the cruise. For children and teenagers aged 12 to 17, Carnival offers supervised activities as part of its youth programs.
