Arrival & Departure Options
- Arrival and departure by TGV on trains that must be reserved in advance; direct connections not guaranteed
- Includes transfers from the TGV station to the ship and back, as well as seat reservations on the train and one night's accommodation in a double room at the Radisson Blu Hotel including breakfast (prices for single rooms and other occupancies available on request)
- Travel by TGV booked through A-ROSA takes place one day before embarkation. Please make your own way to the hotel after the train arrives. You will be picked up from the hotel at around 1 PM on the day of embarkation and taken to the transfer vehicle at the train station.
- The train prices are subject to change and availability, surcharges may apply (depending on the available booking class); BahnCard benefits not applicable.
- Children up to the age of 5 travel free of charge without entitlement to their own seat, children aged 6 to 14 travel free of charge when accompanied by an adult on the German section of the route and at half price on the French section of the route.
- On all trains running to and in France, it is necessary for suitcases to be labeled with first and last names. For operational reasons, train doors in France are closed very early and trains are cleared from the display board two minutes before scheduled departure. Please board the train at least two minutes before departure.
- Scheduled flight in Economy Class with Lufthansa, Eurowings, Austrian Airlines, SWISS, Air France, KLM, TAP Air Portugal, or a comparable airline
- Transfer between airport and ship included
- After collecting your luggage from the baggage carousel at Lyon Airport, please proceed to the agency representative who will be waiting for you after baggage claim. The transfer stop is located either at the exit terminals or at the TGV train station. The journey to the port takes approx. 45 minutes.
- Direct connections are not guaranteed. You will receive your exact flight connection and information about free baggage allowance with your travel documents.
- You are welcome to reserve your parking lot here.
- Payment for parking at the Parc Berthelot parking garage is made directly on site in Lyon via your on-board account.
- The parking garage is about a 10-minute walk from the pier. You will receive detailed information with your travel documents.
- All vehicles wishing to enter the environmental zone in Lyon require an environmental badge - the "Crit'Air" sticker (approx. 4.80 €). This can be ordered on the website of the French Ministry of the Environment.
The Seascanner Rail&Fly ticket can only be used in conjunction with an international flight to/from a German airport or to/from Salzburg and Basel (for flights to/from Amsterdam, Zurich, Brussels and Vienna, this service is available on request for an additional charge). It applies to DB (Deutsche Bahn) routes from all German stations on all scheduled regular trains (including ICE, IC and EC). Unfortunately, a BahnCard discount cannot be granted. Children (up to and including 14 years of age) travel free of charge when accompanied by their parents/grandparents. The Rail&Fly can be used on the day before the outbound flight and on the day after the return flight.
You will receive a voucher code per person and route after the booking of the Seascanner Rail&Fly ticket. The voucher codes can be reedemed on kreuzfahrtberater.bahnanreise.de by selecting the desired connection from those displayed. You will then receive the digital ticket as a PDF download and/or by e-mail. Nevertheless, you are flexible in your use of the trains (provided you keep the selected route and travel day). About A-ROSA Stella
The A-ROSA Stella was built in 2005 and offers space for a maximum of 174 guests. The ship impresses with a spacious sun deck, a heated outdoor pool and a panoramic lounge with bar and dance floor. The crew is very friendly and always eager to make you feel welcome on board.

The cruise line welcomes you in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, with spacious and bright cabins and with varied and fresh cuisine. A-ROSA Stella Sustainability
A-ROSA has had a sustainability department since 2022, which works closely with the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research (ISI). All ships in the fleet have a shore power connection and are powered by marine gas oil without heavy fuel oil during the voyage. Waste is continuously reduced, for example through the use of paper straws and careful separation of waste. In addition, many care and cleaning products on board are made with certified ingredients. To save water, towels and bed linen are only cleaned as required during the voyage.
Atmosphere on board
The crew is very friendly and will do its best to ensure that you feel welcome on board. On the ships of A-ROSA you feel like you are in a very good hotel: The design is modern and elegant. Bright colors, large windows and a spacious living room offer a lot of space for you to relax on your vacation. The dress is smart casual, formal dress is not required.
A-ROSA Stella staterooms
All cabins on the A-ROSA Stella are outside staterooms. The staterooms on deck 1 (category S and A) have small windows and are about 14.5 sqm. The staterooms of cat. S have 2 separate beds and an extra bed (upper folding bed). The staterooms on deck 2 and 3 (category C and D, approx. 14.5 sqm) have a French balcony. In all staterooms (except cat. S) there are two beds which are combined to form a double bed. All staterooms are equipped with a full-featured bathroom and have a chair, a small table and a TV.
Food and Beverages
The restaurant offers open dining times and large buffets. This means you can eat within the flexible opening times whenever you want and with whom you want at one table. Reservations of tables do not exist. The buffet offers a varied menu with lots of fresh and local products. At some stations there is "show cooking". On board there is also the "vinery". You can order good wine and regional delicacies (surcharge). Mineral water is included with the meals. A café-restaurant invites guests to delicious coffee specialties. Coffee and tea in the afternoon is free, coffee specialties are paid. The cozy lounge on deck 3 has a beautiful view, where you can order from an extensive bar menu (not included).
Entertainment, sports and wellness
On board there is a sanarium. There are also some modern fitness facilities. Furthermore, there is a cozy relaxation area for guests who like to enjoy the atmosphere between their sauna sessions. There are also two very nice rooms for massage / spa treatments with an outside view (application fee).
Furthermore, there is a Jacuzzi on the sun deck.
A-ROSA has their own bikes as well as guided cycling tours. Own bicycles are due to reasons of limited space not allowed.
Shore excursions
A-ROSA has developed an extensive land program. All excursions can be booked on board. So there are usually sightseeing tours, trips to castles, wineries and other attractions. There are also boat trips or strolls into town in the program. The bicycles of A-ROSA are used for trips to the environment (difficulty levels). Own bicycles cannot be brought along due to lack of space.
