Arrival & Departure Options
The Seascanner Rail&Fly ticket can only be used in conjunction with an international flight to/from a German airport or to/from Salzburg and Basel (for flights to/from Amsterdam, Zurich, Brussels and Vienna, this service is available on request for an additional charge). It applies to DB (Deutsche Bahn) routes from all German stations on all scheduled regular trains (including ICE, IC and EC). Unfortunately, a BahnCard discount cannot be granted. Children (up to and including 14 years of age) travel free of charge when accompanied by their parents/grandparents. The Rail&Fly can be used on the day before the outbound flight and on the day after the return flight.
You will receive a voucher code per person and route after the booking of the Seascanner Rail&Fly ticket. The voucher codes can be reedemed on kreuzfahrtberater.bahnanreise.de by selecting the desired connection from those displayed. You will then receive the digital ticket as a PDF download and/or by e-mail. Nevertheless, you are flexible in your use of the trains (provided you keep the selected route and travel day). Staterooms
The Koningsdam offers modern and comfortable cabins in all categories. The indoor cabins offer space between 14 and 21 m², while the outside cabins are up to 26 m² in size and the veranda cabins are even up to 39 m². In the various suite categories, nothing is left to be desired. With up to 126 m² in the Pinnacle Suite you have all the space to feel comfortable on board and be able to recover. The equipment of all cabins is comprehensive, the design is bright, modern and friendly.
Atmosphere on board
The Koningsdam, like all Holland America Line ships, offers plenty of room for privacy, from generously proportioned lounges to functional but stylish cabins. The atmosphere aboard the Koningsdam is quite relaxed and informal. In general, casual clothing is sufficient in restaurants and bars - long trousers and a shirt for men, and casual evening wear for women. For the more elegant evenings, however, we recommend some more festive clothing.
Food and Beverages
The excellent cuisine is certainly one of the highlights of any trip with Holland America Line. A top-class team of six world-class chefs is constantly developing new, inspiring and distinctive dining options for the cruise lines's fleet. Also on the Koningsdam a variety of exceptional dining options are offered and the popular restaurant classics get some new accents. An integrated sushi bar for up to seven people complements the range in the pan-Asian specialty restaurant Tamarind, the popular Lido buffet restaurant is a modern food court, and the Main Dining Room is the centerpiece of a two-storey wine tower. Other new items on board are the Sel de Mer (French brasserie) and a Grand Dutch Café.
