The Seascanner Rail&Fly ticket can only be used in conjunction with an international flight to/from a German airport or to/from Salzburg and Basel (for flights to/from Amsterdam, Zurich, Brussels and Vienna, this service is available on request for an additional charge). It applies to DB (Deutsche Bahn) routes from all German stations on all scheduled regular trains (including ICE, IC and EC). Unfortunately, a BahnCard discount cannot be granted. Children (up to and including 14 years of age) travel free of charge when accompanied by their parents/grandparents. The Rail&Fly can be used on the day before the outbound flight and on the day after the return flight.

You will receive a voucher code per person and route after the booking of the Seascanner Rail&Fly ticket. The voucher codes can be reedemed on kreuzfahrtberater.bahnanreise.de by selecting the desired connection from those displayed. You will then receive the digital ticket as a PDF download and/or by e-mail. Nevertheless, you are flexible in your use of the trains (provided you keep the selected route and travel day). Flight package via tour operator

At this time, we do not have any flight prices from Silversea Cruises. We are happy to request the flight package including local transfers for you. To do so, please indicate your preferred airport during the booking process and enter your desired booking class (e.g., business class) and any special requests (e.g., pre-/post-program hotel stay) under "Do you have any special requests?". We will take care of everything else as soon as possible and send you an offer tailored to your individual needs.

On Galapagos and Antarctic expedition cruises, transfer flights and hotel stays are already included in the price of the voyage. For more information, please refer to the “Included Basic services” section. On request, we will also be happy to book international connecting flights from your desired airport for you (see above).

The Silver Cloud

After an extensive refurbishment in November 2017, the Silver Cloud is converted into an ice-class expedition ship and joined Silversea’s Expedition fleet. From now on the luxury cruise liner sails on itineraries to Arctic and non-arctic regions. Thanks to the limited passenger capacity, with just 200 in polar waters, the Silver Cloud is the most spacious and comfortable ice-class vessel in expedition cruising. On cruises to non-polar regions the 157 meters large ship can accommodate up to 240 passengers. A team of 16 zodiacs and 19 passionate Experts ensures your voyage is enhanced every step of your way with the Silver Cloud.

About Silversea Cruises

When founding Silversea in 1990 the Roman family Lefebvre had the plan to offer cruises with more style and with a higher standard than others. This aim has been achieved and today Silversea offers one of the most luxurious products in the world of cruise ships. All of the ships are relatively small so that interesting routings and special ports of call all over the globe are on offer.

Staterooms

The suites on board of the Silver Cloud are very spacious and comfortable. All staterooms are equipped with a marble bathroom, a walk-in closet, Italian linen and a pillow selection. Depending on the category they are between 22 and 77 square meters large. Additionally most of the suites include a veranda, from where watching a breaching whale or a few cavorting penguins has never been so personal.

Atmosphere on Board

The onboard language is English. Due to its passengers from all around the world the atmosphere is very cosmopolitan. The age of the passengers is mixed, but mostly up from 45 years. You should dress smart casual and suitable to the weather during the day. In the evenings there will also be formal occasions where men should wear a dark suit or tuxedo and women a cocktail dress. Because there are only few children on board the atmosphere is very calm.

Food and Beverages

The Silver Cloud has five restaurants with diverse culinary offers to tantalise your taste buds. Enjoy contemporary, international cuisine created by talented chefs in an elegant restaurant or try a juicy steak at “The Grill”. On the Silversea ships many of the amenities are already included in the price, so that you can enjoy a glass of wine or Champaign without any additional charge.

Entertainment, Sports and Relaxation

As a guest on board of the Silver Cloud you have various options to make yourself comfortable. Enjoy beautiful ocean views at the Panorama Lounge, get entertained at the show lounge or try your luck with a game of cards at the Card Room. The spa offers a wide range of invigorating therapies including facials, body wraps and massages. A modern fitness centre is waiting for everyone who needs some action. Numerous outdoor areas and a swimming pool complete the full package on board.
