Arrival & Departure Options
The Seascanner Rail & Cruise ticket is valid on DB (Deutsche Bahn) routes from all German train stations (and Basel Badischer Bahnhof, Kufstein, Salzburg Hbf and Schaffhausen) on all scheduled regular trains (including ICE, IC and EC) and includes a free seat reservation, as well as the City Ticket. Unfortunately, a BahnCard discount cannot be granted. Children (up to and including 14 years) travel free of charge when accompanied by their parents/grandparents. For journeys over 100 km, the Seascanner Rail & Cruise ticket can also be used on the day before the ship's departure and on the day after the ship's arrival.
- Seascanner Rail & Cruise SAVER: Save on your ticket price - The Seascanner Rail & Cruise SAVER is subject to a train connection after selecting the desired connection (does not apply to local trains; however, the journey must be completed by 10:00 AM on the following day). Rebooking/cancellation is not possible.
- Seascanner Rail & Cruise FLEX: Benefit from more flexibility - with Seascanner Rail & Cruise FLEX, you select the connection you want, but are then flexible in the use of the trains (provided you keep the selected route and travel day). Rebooking/cancellation is possible on request.
After booking the Seascanner Rail & Cruise ticket, you will receive one voucher code per person and route. Redeem your voucher code on kreuzfahrtberater.bahnanreise.de by selecting the desired train connection from those displayed. - For voyages with Costa Cruises, MSC Cruises, AIDAbella (22nd and 26th April, and from 27th September), Mein Schiff Relax (from 27th September), and Vasco da Gama (from 26th September 26), only outdoor parking lots can be booked. Parking spaces in the parking garage (and no other parking spaces) can only be booked for departures with AIDAprima, AIDAnova, and Mein Schiff 3.
- Information regarding the parking lot: Provision of a fenced and guarded parking lot near the port including transfer from the parking lot to the ship and back. Payment on arrival at the parking lot on site with EC or credit card. You will receive all details as well as exact directions to your parking space approximately 14 days before your trip begins.
- Pricing and vehicle: Price per vehicle for the entire duration of the cruise including transfers. Early check-in (arrival between 8-10 AM) for 50 € surcharge, motorhome surcharge depending on size 60-100 € per vehicle (only outdoor parking); electricity connection for 35 € per vehicle (electric car/motorhome) for up to 18 days cruises can be added on request.

The Vasco da Gama has an exclusive Neptune's Lounge for suite guests. This is located on Deck 10, right next to the suites. Here, suite guests can enjoy an exclusive retreat with a selection of delicacies such as croissants, muesli, sandwiches, cakes and fruit. There is also a wide range of drinks on offer. As a suite guest, you will also find a team there to help you with any questions or table reservations.
Additional destination fees for cruise passengers on the high-sea: Some destinations charge a separate fee for cruise passengers to support local infrastructure and promote sustainable tourism, among other things. nicko cruises passes on these additional costs and charges them to your onboard account. This is currently the case for:
- Iceland: Mandatory for all passengers, approx. 18 € per day/person for each 24-hour stay
