Arrival & Departure Options
Information regarding the rail travel: Children up to 14 years who travel together with their parents/grand parents travel for free. For children at the age of 15 years or older the normal prices as for the adults apply.
The Seascanner Rail & Cruise ticket is valid on DB (Deutsche Bahn) routes from all German train stations (and Basel Badischer Bahnhof, Kufstein, Salzburg Hbf and Schaffhausen) on all scheduled regular trains (including ICE, IC and EC) and includes a free seat reservation, as well as the City Ticket. Unfortunately, a BahnCard discount cannot be granted. Children (up to and including 14 years) travel free of charge when accompanied by their parents/grandparents. For journeys over 100 km, the Seascanner Rail & Cruise ticket can also be used on the day before the ship's departure and on the day after the ship's arrival.
- Seascanner Rail & Cruise SAVER: Save on your ticket price - The Seascanner Rail & Cruise SAVER is subject to a train connection after selecting the desired connection (does not apply to local trains; however, the journey must be completed by 10:00 AM on the following day). Rebooking/cancellation is not possible.
- Seascanner Rail & Cruise FLEX: Benefit from more flexibility - with Seascanner Rail & Cruise FLEX, you select the connection you want, but are then flexible in the use of the trains (provided you keep the selected route and travel day). Rebooking/cancellation is possible on request.

- Information regarding the parking lot: Provision of a fenced and guarded parking lot near the port including transfer from the parking lot to the ship and back. Payment on arrival at the parking lot on site with EC or credit card. You will receive all details as well as exact directions to your parking space approximately 14 days before your trip begins.
- Pricing and vehicle: Price per vehicle for the entire duration of the cruise including transfers. Early check-in (arrival between 8-10 AM) for 50 € surcharge, motorhome surcharge depending on size 60-100 € per vehicle (only outdoor parking); electricity connection for 35 € per vehicle (electric car/motorhome) for up to 18 days cruises can be added on request.
- Repositionings: Car transfer Warnemuende/Kiel/Bremerhaven 249 € per vehicle or Travemuende 269 € + parking lot rent; shuttle transfer between the locations for 70 € per person (not available in Travemuende).
- Cancellation fees: Cancellation free of charge up to 11 AM on the day of arrival, after that 100 %.
About Costa Favolosa
The Costa Favolosa was put into service in summer 2011 and is one of Costa Cruises' largest ships. On 13 decks, passengers are offered lots of fun, entertainment and comfort. At 290 metres in length, there is room for a maximum of 3,800 passengers. The Costa Favolosa is the fairy-tale ship of the Costa fleet and has dedicated itself entirely to fairy-tale and royal worlds. The Atrio dei Diamanti, for example, is reminiscent of the Hall of Mirrors at Versailles Palace, while other areas of the ship were also inspired by famous magnificent buildings and over 6,000 works of art adorn the ship. There is also plenty of entertainment for children, making the Costa Favolosa particularly suitable for family cruises.

Sustainability Costa Favolosa
Since 2014, the Costa Crociere Foundation has been coordinating all of Costa Cruises' social and environmental initiatives. Through 32 projects, the foundation has already reached over 185,000 people in more than 130 countries. Its work ranges from educational programmes and environmental protection measures to social aid programmes implemented both in port cities and beyond. The foundation ensures that 100% of donations go directly to projects dedicated to current social and environmental challenges. With its new interactive educational project, ‘Guardians of the Sea,’ the cruise line continues to promote sustainability and environmental education. The playful and entertaining way in which children and teenagers between the ages of 6 and 17 are made aware of the importance of protecting the oceans plays a key role here. Through engaging activities, participants learn about sustainable behaviour and how to protect the oceans. Costa Favolosa staterooms
There are a total of 1508 modern and comfortably furnished staterooms on board. Of these, 524 have a private balcony. The inside staterooms are 14 sqm, the outside and balcony staterooms 16 sqm. The suites are impressive with 20-36 sqm. On board there are also special staterooms and suites in the Samsara category, which offer wellness lovers some special amenities. In the Samsara area, you can choose between interior staterooms, balcony staterooms and suites.
Atmosphere on board
The atmosphere on board of Costa Favolosa is very international with a special focus on the Italian way of life. Many passengers and crew members speak German. The dress code is casual and informal. On a few days in the main restaurant there are Gala evenings for which a more elegant clothing is suitable. The ship is very family friendly and a lot of children and teenagers are happy about the special entertainment programme.

In the various restaurants on board the Costa Favolosa, every guest can find the right culinary delights for them. Whether in a relaxed atmosphere in the buffet restaurant or in one of the specialty restaurants with dishes from all over the world, the Costa Favolosa offers a variety of culinary alternatives.

- The Salty Beach Street Food: Are you a burger fan? Here you will find the true flavors of street food.
- Club Restaurant: Enjoy a gourmet menu with excellent service.
In the various lounges and bars (not included) like the Grand Bar Palatino or the Bar dell'Ondina, you can use your drinks packages, enjoy drinks and make new contacts.
Entertainment, sports and relaxation
Shows are presented every evening in the huge theatre. There is a casino, numerous bars and various opportunities for dancing. There is a disco on board especially for the younger guests and those young at heart. For diversion during the day, there is a 4D cinema, a large water slide and numerous shopping opportunities. In preparation for the individual ports, lectures are held about the destinations called at. Classic cruise entertainment is not neglected either: there are bingo games, game tournaments and many other offers that change daily.
The wellness area has been enlarged again compared to previous ships. On 6,000 sqm, the Samsara Spa offers a large fitness room with a magnificent sea view and various saunas and whirlpools for a fee. In addition, every conceivable health and beauty treatment is offered for a fee in the spa managed by the Steiner company. There are five whirlpools on board, four swimming pools (one with a retractable glass roof), a multi-purpose sports court and an outdoor jogging track.

Additional destination fees for cruise passengers: Some destinations charge a separate fee for cruise passengers to support local infrastructure and promote sustainable tourism, among other things. Costa Cruises passes on these additional costs and charges them to your onboard account at the end of your voyage. This is currently the case for:
- Iceland: Mandatory for all passengers, approx. 18 € per day/person for each 24-hour stay
- Greece: For all shore leavers, depending on the port/season varying fees (approx. 1-20 € per person/port)
