Arrival & Departure Options
The Seascanner Rail & Cruise ticket is valid on DB (Deutsche Bahn) routes from all German train stations (and Basel Badischer Bahnhof, Kufstein, Salzburg Hbf and Schaffhausen) on all scheduled regular trains (including ICE, IC and EC) and includes a free seat reservation, as well as the City Ticket. Unfortunately, a BahnCard discount cannot be granted. Children (up to and including 14 years) travel free of charge when accompanied by their parents/grandparents. For journeys over 100 km, the Seascanner Rail & Cruise ticket can also be used on the day before the ship's departure and on the day after the ship's arrival.
- Seascanner Rail & Cruise SAVER: Save on your ticket price - The Seascanner Rail & Cruise SAVER is subject to a train connection after selecting the desired connection (does not apply to local trains; however, the journey must be completed by 10:00 AM on the following day). Rebooking/cancellation is not possible.
- Seascanner Rail & Cruise FLEX: Benefit from more flexibility - with Seascanner Rail & Cruise FLEX, you select the connection you want, but are then flexible in the use of the trains (provided you keep the selected route and travel day). Rebooking/cancellation is possible on request.
After booking the Seascanner Rail & Cruise ticket, you will receive one voucher code per person and route. - Information regarding the parking lot: Provision of a fenced and guarded parking lot near the port including transfer from the parking lot to the ship and back. Payment on arrival at the parking lot on site with EC or credit card. You will receive all details as well as exact directions to your parking space approximately 14 days before your trip begins.
- Pricing and vehicle: Price per vehicle for the entire duration of the cruise including transfers. Early check-in (arrival between 8-10 AM) for 50 € surcharge, motorhome surcharge depending on size 60-100 € per vehicle (only outdoor parking); electricity connection for 35 € per vehicle (electric car/motorhome) for up to 18 days cruises can be added on request.

The MSC Magnifica belongs to the Musica class. The ship was put into service in 2010 and was last renovated in 2025. The MSC Magnifica is 293.80 metres long and has room for 2,518 passengers (based on double occupancy of cabins), who will find fun and variety for the whole family on board. MSC Magnifica Staterooms
The staterooms are modern and comfortably furnished and have a bathroom with shower, TV, telephone, minibar and safe. The interior staterooms measure about 13 sqm, the oceanview staterooms about 14-16 sqm. The balcony staterooms already have 14-18 sqm and the suites between 23 and 25 sqm, depending on the category. The suites are equipped with a bathtub.
The sizes of the staterooms in the MSC Yacht Club range from approx. 20 to 50 sqm. The Royal Suite even has a balcony measuring approx. 78 sqm and a private whirlpool.
Atmosphere on board the MSC Magnifica
On board the MSC Magnifica, it's like landing in a well-kept holiday hotel: good food, a wide range of sports, comfortable staterooms and many entertainment options. Even at this relaxed and casual atmosphere, festive attire is recommended two nights a week in the main restaurants. Childcare is also provided for your children: babies and toddlers between six months and two years are looked after by certified staff in the Baby Club, which was created in collaboration with the leading children's brand Chicco®. Toddlers aged three to six play in the MSC Mini Club and the Junior Club looks after children aged seven to eleven. MSC's experienced entertainers look after the children with various games and many sporting activities. During the day, 12 to 14-year-olds in the Young Club and 15 to 17-year-olds in the Teens Club can enjoy clubs equipped with the latest consoles, games and VR technology. Confirmation of stateroom numbers: Stateroom numbers are always confirmed by MSC Cruises under reserve, the cruise line reserves the right to change the stateroom after the booking.
MSC Voyages Club member numbers or vouchers: Please inform us about these within your reservation. The MSC Voyages Club member number has to be entered directly while booking in order to benefit from the club discount - if applicable for this cruise and rate - in order get it applied to the reservation.
Additional destination fees for cruise passengers: Some destinations charge a separate fee for cruise passengers to support local infrastructure and promote sustainable tourism, among other things. MSC Cruises passes on these additional costs and charges them to your onboard account on the night after the port of call. This is currently the case for:
- Iceland: Mandatory for all passengers, approx. 11 € per day/person
- Greece: For all shore leavers, depending on the port/season varying fees (approx. 1-20 € per person/port)

Required travel documents by MSC Cruises: Every passenger has to have a valid passport whose validity is still given 6 months after the trip. For all cruises that only call ports in the EU including Norway and Iceland, German citizens only require identity card or children up to the age of 14 a children's passport or ePassport; these documents need a validity of 6 months after the trip.
