Arrival & Departure Options
Enjoy a relaxed arrival/departure by coach incl. door-to-door service:
- Door pick-up and transfer to/from a collection point, return journey in modern coaches incl. lunch and free drink as well as luggage transport from/to your stateroom.
- Guests from the surrounding postcode areas are taken directly to the port without a lunch break and automatically receive 15 € onboard credit in their stateroom.
- There is a baggage allowance of two pieces of baggage of 20 kg each and one piece of hand baggage per person. If you are taking additional items of luggage with you or require aids such as a wheelchair, walker or similar, please inform us in good time.
- The booking of arrival/departure incl. door-to-door service is possible up to a maximum of 6 weeks before the start of the journey and the address is entered on "My Phoenix" up to 6 weeks before the start of the journey. Late bookings at short notice are possible on request (from 6 weeks before departure), subject to availability.
- The arrival/departure incl. door-to-door service applies nationwide in Germany (except German islands) and is adapted to the embarkation times for your trip. Depending on the route and embarkation point, more than one change may be required.
- Depending on the number of participants booked, the door-to-door service may in rare cases be provided in part or in full by minibus/taxi.
- The individual pick-up time will be communicated in a separate information letter at least 10 days before the start of the trip.
The Seascanner Rail & Cruise ticket is valid on DB (Deutsche Bahn) routes from all German train stations (and Basel Badischer Bahnhof, Kufstein, Salzburg Hbf and Schaffhausen) on all scheduled regular trains (including ICE, IC and EC) and includes a free seat reservation, as well as the City Ticket. Unfortunately, a BahnCard discount cannot be granted. Children (up to and including 14 years) travel free of charge when accompanied by their parents/grandparents. For journeys over 100 km, the Seascanner Rail & Cruise ticket can also be used on the day before the ship's departure and on the day after the ship's arrival.
- Seascanner Rail & Cruise SAVER: Save on your ticket price - The Seascanner Rail & Cruise SAVER is subject to a train connection after selecting the desired connection (does not apply to local trains; however, the journey must be completed by 10:00 AM on the following day). Rebooking/cancellation is not possible.
- Seascanner Rail & Cruise FLEX: Benefit from more flexibility - with Seascanner Rail & Cruise FLEX, you select the connection you want, but are then flexible in the use of the trains (provided you keep the selected route and travel day). Rebooking/cancellation is possible on request.
After booking the Seascanner Rail & Cruise ticket, you will receive one voucher code per person and route. Redeem your voucher code on kreuzfahrtberater.bahnanreise.de by selecting the desired train connection from those displayed. - Information regarding the parking lot: Provision of a fenced and guarded parking lot near the port including transfer from the parking lot to the ship and back. Payment on arrival at the parking lot on site with EC or credit card. You will receive all details as well as exact directions to your parking space approximately 14 days before your trip begins.
- Pricing and vehicle: Price per vehicle for the entire duration of the cruise including transfers. Early check-in (arrival between 8-10 AM) for 50 € surcharge, motorhome surcharge depending on size 60-100 € per vehicle (only outdoor parking); electricity connection for 35 € per vehicle (electric car/motorhome) for up to 18 days cruises can be added on request.
- Repositionings: Car transfer Hamburg 249 € per vehicle + parking lot rent, shuttle transfer for 70 € per person; Kiel/Warnemuende 319 € per vehicle + parking lot rent, shuttle transfer for 90 € per person; Cuxhaven 139 € per vehicle + parking lot rent, shuttle transfer for 30 € per person
- Cancellation fees: Cancellation free of charge up to 11 AM on the day of arrival, after that 100 %.
The ship Artania
Under its current name MS Artania the ship cruises across the oceans for Phoenix since 2011. The MS Artania was last renovated in November 2017. The 231 m long and 44,500 GRT large ship can accommodate up to 1,200 guests. On board you will find a high level of comfort as well as the characteristics of a classic cruise tradition. All cabins are outside cabins with a panoramic window or private balcony, creating an airy and spacious ambience on board.
About Phoenix Reisen
The German tour operator Phoenix Reisen was founded in 1973. In 1988 they chartered the Maxim Gorkiy and started sailing the oceans. At the beginning Phoenix Reisen was a pure high sea cruise line but expanded its range in 1993 to include the popular river cruises. Only a few ships have as many regular customers as the ships of Phoenix Reisen. Thanks to the friendly and familiar atmosphere on board also new customers and cruise newcomers feel at home . In addition to the ocean-going vessels, there are a few smaller vessels for exceptional sailing and numerous river boats. Language on board of the Phoenix ships is German.

Artania staterooms
On board the MS Artania you will only find spacious and comfortably furnished outside cabins and suites. The cabins have a bed, which is used as a couch during the day, and another lower folding bed (some cabins also have a fold-down bed). Ample storage space and extensive equipment ensure well-being on board. Even the smallest cabins are comfortably large with 15-16 sqm, while the Royal Suit measures a proud 50 sqm. Many cabins, junior suites and suites have their own balcony.

MS Artania restaurants, bars & lounges
The Artania offers various culinary highlights with two main restaurants of equal value and a buffet restaurant. In all restaurants there is a long, common table time and free choice of seats.
The following restaurants are already included in the price:
- Vier Jahreszeiten (main restaurant): Large panoramic windows give you a wonderful view while eating.
- Artania (main restaurant): Look forward to tasty meals while the large panoramic windows give you a great view.
- Lido Buffet-Restaurant (buffet restaurant): Here you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner in buffet style.
During good weather, you can also eat outside on the sun terrace or in the outdoor pool area.
Starting in December 2025, the culinary offering will be expanded with the addition of the specialty restaurant "Pichler's".
There are also several lounges and bars (not included) on board the Artania to round off the culinary offering. For example, end your evening with the best view in the Panorama-Pazifik-Lounge or have your favorite drink in the Casablanca Bar.

Comfortable sun loungers on the outer decks invite you to sunbathe and relax, activities such as shuffleboard or darts provide variety on deck while you can live out your creativity at various classes.
