In 2023, Mein Schiff 5 was modernised and equipped with a shore power connection. A sustainability wall has been created on deck 4 to visualise the goals and the associated strategy for guests.

Around 80% of the staterooms are balcony staterooms and offer you plenty of space to feel at home. There are family staterooms, spa balcony staterooms and beautiful suites with plenty of space and comfort. All staterooms are furnished in a modern and cosy style.

The main onboard language is German. The atmosphere is relaxed - similar to an upscale club hotel. Especially middle-aged guests feel very comfortable on board. During holidays many families are guests aboard. They appreciate the relaxed atmosphere, the possibility to do sports and the large variety of fine dining options. • Anckelmannsplatz (buffet restaurant): Here you can expect a variety of dishes from the hot and cold buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
• Atlantik - Mediterranean: savour a variety of meat and fish dishes, vegetarian and vegan dishes in a Mediterranean ambience.
• Atlantik - Classic: Enjoy a rich breakfast buffet in the morning and daily changing 5-course menus in the evening.
• Tag & Nacht-Bistro: The bistro is open almost around the clock - ideal for a small midnight snack.
• Backstube (in the buffet restaurant): Here you can sample crispy rolls, delicious sandwiches or exquisite tarts.
• Bosporus snack bar: Discover hearty, savoury dishes such as doner kebab, falafel or Belgian potatoes with delicious sauces.
• GOSCH Sylt: Enjoy cold and warm fish or seafood variations, e.g. marinated salmon or fried prawns.
• Osteria - Pizza e Pasta: The Italian restaurant offers homemade pizza, pasta and fresh salads.

You pay a surcharge in the following speciality restaurants:

• Surf & Turf Steakhouse: sample tasty grilled specialities from land and sea and discover the extensive wine list.
• Barbecue grill tables: Enjoy a special menu at the tables with integrated grill plate in the outdoor area of the steakhouse.
• Hanami - by Tim Raue: Top gastronomy and Far Eastern cuisine await you here, matched with typical local drinks.
• Schmankerl: Try specialities from the Alpine region, prepared in a traditional and modern style.

In the numerous bars and lounges, you can relax with a warm cup of tea in the Himmel & Meer lounge, savour delicious cocktails in the TUI Bar or enjoy an aperitif in the Schau Bar. Round off the evening with a sparkling glass of exquisite champagne in the Champagner Treff (not included). We also recommend the Naschbar (not included), where you can savour aromatic coffee and sweet delicacies.

The "Diamond Bar" at the rear offers a magnificent sea-view with very classy evening entertainment. You should also visit the Show Lounge where changing events with acrobatics, musicals, magic and comedy are hosted. Even cooking shows, a "mystery dinner" and pool deck parties are offered on board! And if you want to party you should dance in the "AbtanzBar" until the early morning!
"Mein Schiff 5" offers a large fitness area and aerobic classes. The extensive wellness area features a large sea-view sauna and a steam-room. For an additional fee you can choose from the vast range of massages and "feel-good-treatments" or arrange a sports session with a personal trainer. Sporting excursions are also offered on board. You may join unusual mountain bike tours, paddle boat tours or go scuba-diving and snorkeling.

There is a kids' club on board where children aged 3-11 are looked after. The children are offered a programme tailored to different age groups and supervision by qualified staff. More detailed information is available on board.
