Arrival & Departure Options
The Seascanner Rail&Fly ticket can only be used in conjunction with an international flight to/from a German airport or to/from Salzburg and Basel (for flights to/from Amsterdam, Zurich, Brussels and Vienna, this service is available on request for an additional charge). It applies to DB (Deutsche Bahn) routes from all German stations on all scheduled regular trains (including ICE, IC and EC). Unfortunately, a BahnCard discount cannot be granted. Children (up to and including 14 years of age) travel free of charge when accompanied by their parents/grandparents. The Rail&Fly can be used on the day before the outbound flight and on the day after the return flight.
You will receive a voucher code per person and route after the booking of the Seascanner Rail&Fly ticket. The voucher codes can be reedemed on kreuzfahrtberater.bahnanreise.de by selecting the desired connection from those displayed. You will then receive the digital ticket as a PDF download and/or by e-mail. Nevertheless, you are flexible in your use of the trains (provided you keep the selected route and travel day). The MSC Poesia, a Musica-class ship, entered service in April 2008. The MSC Poesia offers At 293.80 length the ship can accommodate 2,550 passengers (with double occupancy). MSC Poesia Sustainability
MSC Cruises has set itself the long-term goal of achieving zero emissions in all its operations. In order to already avoid as many emissions as possible, the MSC Poesia has been equipped with a shore power connection and can therefore be connected to a shore power system in all ports.
MSC Poesia staterooms
The staterooms are modern and comfortable, equipped with a bathroom with shower, TV, telephone, minibar, and safe.
Standard interior staterooms are approximately 14 sqm in size, exterior staterooms are approximately 16–17 sqm, and balcony staterooms measure approximately 15–18 squm.
In April 2026, the popular MSC Yacht Club with 69 suites made its debut on MSC Poesia: Look forward to an expanded selection of cabin options and choose between MSC Yacht Club interior staterooms (approx. 20 sqm) and larger suites starting at approx. 24 sqm with a balcony. The Deluxe Suites, Royal Suites, Grand Suites, and Executive & Family Suites offer, in addition to MSC Yacht Club amenities, plenty of space for your dream vacation and private retreats.
Atmosphere on board the MSC Poesia
On board the MSC Poesia, it's like landing in a modern and well-kept holiday hotel: good food, a wide range of sports, comfortable staterooms and many entertainment options. Even at this relaxed and casual atmosphere, festive attire is recommended two nights a week in the main restaurants. Guests who like it even more casual can visit the buffet restaurant at this evenings where no dress code is expected.

For sporty guests, the wide range of sports and fitness activities leaves nothing to be desired: the MSC Gym with Technogym equipment and a tennis and basketball cour (Sport Center) are at your disposal. MSC Poesia children
Childcare is also provided for your children: babies and toddlers between six months and two years are looked after by certified staff in the Baby Club, which was created in collaboration with the leading children's brand Chicco®. Toddlers aged three to six play in the MSC Mini Club and the Junior Club looks after children aged seven to eleven. MSC's experienced entertainers look after the children with various games and many sporting activities. Confirmation of stateroom numbers: Stateroom numbers are always confirmed by MSC Cruises under reserve, the cruise line reserves the right to change the stateroom after the booking.
MSC Voyages Club member numbers or vouchers: Please inform us about these within your reservation. The MSC Voyages Club member number has to be entered directly while booking in order to benefit from the club discount - if applicable for this cruise and rate - in order get it applied to the reservation.
Additional charges for cruise passengers: Some ports of call levy a separate charge for cruise passengers to support local infrastructure and promote sustainable tourism, amongst other things. MSC Cruises passes on these additional costs and charges them to your on-board account on the night following the port call. This currently applies to:
- Iceland destination fee: Mandatory for all passengers, approx. 11 € per day/person
- Greece destination fee: For all shore-goers; fee varies depending on port of call and season (approx. 1-20 € per person/port)
- Entry/exit fee for La Romana, Dominican Republic: 10 $ per person entry fee (Tarjeta de Turista) for all passengers who are going ashore, 20 $ per person exit fee for all passengers boarding. Travelers arriving by plane pay the fees twice (1. First entry by plane: 10 $ per person, 2. First departure upon the ship’s departure: 20 $ per person, 3. Second entry by ship: 10 $ per person, 4. Second departure by plane: 20 $ per person). For passengers with flights booked through MSC Cruises, the fees for the first entry and second departure are included in the airfare.

Required travel documents by MSC Cruises: Every passenger has to have a valid passport whose validity is still given 6 months after the trip. For all cruises that only call ports in the EU including Norway and Iceland, German citizens only require identity card or children up to the age of 14 a children's passport or ePassport; these documents need a validity of 6 months after the trip.
