Arrival & Departure Options
The Seascanner Rail&Fly ticket can only be used in conjunction with an international flight to/from a German airport or to/from Salzburg and Basel (for flights to/from Amsterdam, Zurich, Brussels and Vienna, this service is available on request for an additional charge). It applies to DB (Deutsche Bahn) routes from all German stations on all scheduled regular trains (including ICE, IC and EC). Unfortunately, a BahnCard discount cannot be granted. Children (up to and including 14 years of age) travel free of charge when accompanied by their parents/grandparents. The Rail&Fly can be used on the day before the outbound flight and on the day after the return flight.
You will receive a voucher code per person and route after the booking of the Seascanner Rail&Fly ticket. The voucher codes can be reedemed on kreuzfahrtberater.bahnanreise.de by selecting the desired connection from those displayed. You will then receive the digital ticket as a PDF download and/or by e-mail. Nevertheless, you are flexible in your use of the trains (provided you keep the selected route and travel day). - Pricing and vehicle: Price per vehicle for the entire duration of the cruise including transfers. Early check-in (arrival between 8-10 AM) for 50 € surcharge, motorhome surcharge depending on size 60-100 € per vehicle (only outdoor parking); electricity connection for 35 € per vehicle (electric car/motorhome) for up to 18 days cruises can be added on request.
- Repositionings: Car transfer Warnemuende/Kiel/Bremerhaven 249 € per vehicle or Travemuende 269 € + parking lot rent; shuttle transfer between the locations for 70 € per person (not available in Travemuende).

The ship Hanseatic nature
Hanseatic nature has the ice class PC6, the highest ice class for passenger ships. Glass balconies on almost all staterooms will literally float you over the ocean and as well as the generous open deck areas and the gallery at the bow allow first-line nature observation. On the small exclusive ships with a maximum of 230 guests (for Arctic expeditions and cruises around Spitsbergen up to 199 guests) a very personal and excellent service awaits you. From the marina, you can set out on a total of 17 Zodiacs for thrilling trips or water sports in warmer regions. On both ships the cruise line put a lot of emphasis on environmental friendliness. With new technologies consumption and emissions will be reduced.

Sustainability Hanseatic nature
Since 2020, Hapag-Lloyd Cruises has been using a particularly low-sulphur fuel (marine gas oil 0.1 percent) for its expedition fleet. In addition, other certified fuels are regularly tested, including biofuels (which are obtained from residual and waste materials, for example), which massively reduce CO2 emissions and also contain hardly any sulphur oxides.
Hanseatic nature also has a certified shore power connection, which can be used to supply the ship with electricity from shore while it is in port (if available) and the ship's engines can therefore be switched off.
Hanseatic nature staterooms
On board the Hanseatic nature you will find only oceanview staterooms and suites, of which almost all will have a balcony or French balcony. The size of the comfortably and stylishly furnished staterooms and suites varies from 21 to 71 sqm. All staterooms and suites have a special design concept, called “Inspired by nature” that is characterised by curved lines, natural colours and high-valued materials. In the bathroom, a heated wall ensures that wet towels or parkas dry quickly after the expeditions. A free minibar (staterooms with free soft drinks, suites all drinks included) and a coffee machine can be found in each stateroom. There are Nordic walking poles for active guests and binoculars for observations of the unique nature and wildlife, even from your comfortable stateroom. The Grand Suites have a bathtub, as well as a rain shower and a steam sauna, which can also be found in the Junior Suites.
Hanseatic nature Atmosphere on Board
The new Hanseatic nature offers excellent expedition feeling with 5-star comfort. The atmosphere on board is nevertheless relaxed and due to the small number of guests very private. All guests can enjoy a maximum of personal freedom on board which means free choice between the restaurants and the seats. The clothing during the day is sporty-elegant and adapted to the weather. Two extendable glass balconies on the sundeck provide the incomparable feeling of floating above the ocean. The age of the guests is mixed, but mostly middle and upper age. Onboard language on the Hanseatic nature is German so that all guests can easily follow the explanations given by the experts on board.
Hanseatic nature restaurants, bars & lounges
In keeping with a 5-star expedition ship, there is also plenty on offer in terms of cuisine.

Hanseatic nature Entertainment, Sports and Relaxation
The focus of an expedition cruise is on the discovery of the world and the intense experience of nature. Therefore, the focus of the entertainment on the Hanseatic nature is on the imparting of knowledge which is deepened by expert lectures in the HanseAtrium and can once again be extended by self-study in the OceanAcademy. The deck circulation at the bow allows nature observations from close proximity. The HanseAtrium, a divisible multifunctional lounge, transforms into one of the two bars in the evening. In the approx. 235 sqm OceanSpa area guests can spoil themselves after exciting excursions. A Finnish sauna, a steam sauna, a relaxation area, a hairdresser, beauty treatments and massages are offered in the spa area. For sports enthusiasts, there is an approx. 100 sqm training area with a view of the impressive natural panorama of the respective destination and a pool area with countercurrent system which is weather independent thanks to a flexible tent roof.
