Car
You can easily reach Lelystad via the A6 motorway, which provides a direct connection to the Dutch trunk road network and connects the port with Germany. Directly at Bataviahaven and at the adjacent Batavia Stad Fashion Outlet, generous parking facilities such as the VOC car park are available, providing secure spaces for short- and long-term parkers in the immediate vicinity of the ship.
Train
Lelystad Centrum station is an important hub in the Dutch rail network and is regularly served by Intercity trains from Amsterdam as well as connections from Germany. From the station, you can reach the terminal in less than ten minutes with bus line 3 or take one of the waiting taxis for the short distance of around three kilometres.
Airplane
Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) is located around 65 kilometres away and offers numerous daily direct connections from Berlin, Vienna, Zurich and other cities in the DACH region. From the airport, you can reach the port of Lelystad directly by train in about 45 minutes or use one of the shuttle services, which will take you to Bataviahaven in a short time via the well-developed motorways.
Check-in & Embarkation
Please note that you will usually receive a fixed time slot for check-in with your travel documents, which is binding for your embarkation. Plan sufficient time for your journey to the port accordingly and bear in mind that the latest embarkation time - depending on the cruise line and destination - is usually scheduled about one hour before the planned departure.
The same applies during the voyage: for shore excursions, you should be back on board no later than one hour before departure. Always pay attention to the current announcements and notices on board, as mooring and departure times may change at short notice.
