Hoorn is directly connected via the Dutch A7 motorway. Take exit 8 to reach the city center directly. Numerous parking options are available; free long-term parking can be found, for example, at the Nieuwe Wal and ABC-straat car parks. Train
Hoorn station is an important hub with regular direct connections, including to Amsterdam. From the station, you can reach the city center and the harbor, where the river cruise ships dock, in a few minutes on foot or after about 20 minutes through the picturesque old town. Thanks to good connections, Hoorn is also directly accessible from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS) by train, with a travel time of about 49 to 54 minutes.

The nearest international airport is Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS), located approximately 42 kilometers as the crow flies or about 54 kilometers by road southwest of Hoorn. The travel time by car or taxi is about 46 minutes. From Schiphol Airport, there are convenient transfer options to Hoorn: in addition to taxi services, which often offer fixed prices (e.g. around 85 euros from Hoorn to Schiphol), trains run directly to Hoorn station every half hour. Arriving the day before is always recommended for long-haul flights to ensure a relaxed start to your cruise.
