Airplane
The nearest international airport is Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS), located around 15 to 20 kilometers from Haarlem. Alternatively, direct buses operate, such as Bus 300, which takes you to Haarlem city center in a short time. Train
Haarlem is excellently connected to the European rail network thanks to its main railway station, Haarlem Centraal. From the DACH region, you can easily reach Amsterdam Centraal by ICE, from where direct Sprinter trains take you further to Haarlem in just 15 to 20 minutes. Haarlem Centraal station is located in the heart of the city, allowing you to quickly reach the mooring locations for river and canal cruises as well as the main sights on foot.
Car
Haarlem is easy to reach by car thanks to its good connection to the Dutch motorway network. From Germany, the A3, A12, A2, and A9 motorways, among others, lead directly to the Haarlem region. For parking options, several public multi-storey car parks are available in the city center, including De Kamp, Appelaar, and Raaks. Since street parking is subject to a fee and availability is limited, it is recommended to book parking spaces in central garages in advance, for example via providers such as ParkBee or Mobypark, to ensure a relaxed start.
