Its location on the Amador Causeway combines efficient logistics with an impressive panorama of the Pacific coast and the capital's skyline.
Airplane
Aeropuerto Internacional de Tocumen (PTY) is the central arrival point and is served directly from Frankfurt or Zurich. The journey to the cruise port, located about 30 to 40 kilometers away, is quick via the Corredor Sur and takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes depending on traffic.
Transfer & Shuttle
For the trip to the terminal, travelers have convenient options such as authorized taxis, Uber, or the cruise lines' official transfer services. In addition, specialized shuttle providers offer direct pick-up at airport terminals 1 and 2, making the transfer to the ship particularly predictable and comfortable.
Pre-Cruise Hotel
Due to the long journey from the DACH region, a stay of at least one night in Panama City before the cruise is highly recommended. Hotels in the charming Casco Viejo district or directly on the Amador Causeway allow for a relaxed start to your vacation and offer the chance to visit highlights such as the Miraflores Locks of the Panama Canal at your leisure.
Check-in & Embarkation
Please note that your travel documents will usually provide you with a fixed time slot for check-in, which is mandatory for your embarkation. Plan sufficient time for the journey to the port and keep in mind that the latest embarkation time—depending on the cruise line and destination—is usually about one hour before the scheduled departure.
