Punta Vicente Roca is a spectacular natural jewel on the rugged northwest coast of Isabela and is considered one of the most fascinating anchorages in the Galápagos Islands. The horseshoe-shaped bay captivates with its dramatic volcanic cliffs and deep blue water, offering an impressive variety of species thanks to nutrient-rich currents. Highlights such as observing flightless cormorants, Galápagos penguins, and green sea turtles make this place unique; furthermore, mystical sea caves and snorkeling spots with sunfish invite discovery tours. Since there is no paved pier, cruise ships anchor directly in the sheltered bay, and guests reach the cliffs comfortably by panga boat. This secluded location allows for an exclusive wilderness experience in the midst of Ecuador's untouched nature, completely undisturbed by any urban hustle or transport connections.

Airplane
The journey begins with a long-haul flight to Quito (UIO) or Guayaquil (GYE) and continues with local airlines such as Avianca or LATAM to Seymour Airport (GPS) on Baltra. From this main airport, you can easily reach the starting point of your cruise, which will take you to the remote bays of Isabela.
Pre-Cruise Hotel
Due to the time difference and the long flight duration, an overnight stay in Guayaquil or Quito is recommended before your onward flight to the islands. Many travelers also take advantage of a stay in Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz to acclimatize and enjoy the short transfer time to the ship on embarkation day.
Transfer & Shuttle
From Baltra Airport, you can reach the jetties at the Itabaca Channel within a few minutes by shuttle bus. Depending on the type of ship, the transfer to the terminal in Puerto Ayora takes about 60 minutes by bus and ferry, with cruise lines usually offering a coordinated pickup service for a smooth start to your expedition.
Check-in & Embarkation
