Basel is the charming gateway to Switzerland and a significant hub for river cruises on the picturesque Rhine. Basel is the most important starting point for Rhine cruises in the border triangle of Switzerland, Germany, and France, and is easily accessible from all three countries. From both stations, you can reach the ship docks in just ten to fifteen minutes comfortably by taxi or via the Basel public transport lines (BVB). Arriving by rail is particularly relaxed thanks to the high frequency of services and the central location of the stations.
Airplane
The cross-border EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg (BSL) is located only about 15 minutes by car from the cruise terminals and offers numerous direct connections from throughout the DACH region. Alternatively, Zurich Airport allows for a comfortable arrival in about one hour via direct train connections. On-site, shuttle services, taxis, or bus line 50 ensure a seamless transition from plane to ship.
Check-in & Embarkation
