Airplane
For travelers from the DACH region, arriving by plane via the United Arab Emirates is the most common method. The nearest major international airport is Dubai International (DXB), which is approximately 173 to 214 kilometers away and allows for a travel time of around 2.5 to 3 hours to Khasab. Another option is Sharjah International Airport (SHJ), about 164 to 189 kilometers away, with a travel time of approximately 2 to 2.5 hours. Ras Al Khaimah International Airport (RKT) is the closest, at about 85 to 100 kilometers, enabling a transfer time of only around 1.5 hours. The local Khasab Airport (KHS) only offers domestic connections to Muscat (MCT) with Oman Air.
Transfer & Shuttle
There are various transfer options from the airports in the UAE to the port of Khasab. Private taxi and chauffeur services are comfortable and reliable, with experienced drivers who also assist with border formalities between the UAE and Oman. The drive takes you along scenic coastal roads and through the Hajar Mountains, and border crossings should be factored into your schedule. Pre-Cruise Hotel
