The entrance through the kilometers-long fjord offers breathtaking views of picturesque fortifications and white villas, while the historic old town, perched high above the water, invites you to linger with its winding alleys and British-Spanish architecture. Cultural highlights include the magnificent church of Santa Maria, the lively Mercat des Peix fish market, and the imposing La Mola fortress at the harbor entrance. Cruise ships dock at the central Moll de Ponent, from where the picturesque upper town is easily accessible on foot in just a few minutes thanks to a modern elevator or historic stairways.

The Port of Mahón on Menorca impresses with its location in one of the largest natural harbors in the world, with cruise ships usually docking centrally at the Muelle de Ponent or the Muelle de Llevant. Traveling from the DACH region is particularly convenient thanks to the short distances on the island and the close proximity of the airport to the capital, Mahón.

Airplane

Menorca Airport (MAH) is located only about five kilometers southwest of the port and is regularly served by flights from airports such as Frankfurt, Munich, Düsseldorf, or Zurich during the high season. Thanks to the short distance, you can reach the docking points by taxi in about 15 minutes; additionally, bus line 10 runs every 30 minutes between the terminal and the central bus station, from where the port is easily accessible.

Car & Parking

Those exploring the island by rental car beforehand can easily reach the port via the main road Me-1, which connects western Ciutadella directly with Mahón. Public parking spaces are available directly at the quay as well as in the immediate vicinity of the Estación Marítima; furthermore, parking garages such as Freginal in the upper town offer secure spaces for the duration of the cruise.

Due to the spectacular harbor entrance and the Mediterranean flair of the island's capital, arriving a day before embarkation is recommended.
