Ibiza is the dazzling pearl of the Balearics and a world-famous destination for culture enthusiasts and epicureans alike. The island's capital, Eivissa, captivates with a fascinating blend of historic architecture, Mediterranean lifestyle, and a lively harbor promenade under the radiant Spanish sun. Absolute highlights include the UNESCO World Heritage listed old town Dalt Vila with its majestic Cathedral of Santa Maria de la Neu and the charming harbor district Barrio de la Marina. Cruise ships usually dock at the Estación Marítima de Botafoc, located at the northern end of the bay. Thanks to regular shuttle buses or the popular water taxis, guests can comfortably reach the city center, which is about three kilometers away, in just a few minutes, while enjoying spectacular panoramic views during the short crossing.
The Port of Ibiza is a premier destination in the western Mediterranean and is easy to reach thanks to short distances on the island and excellent flight connections. Large cruise ships primarily dock at the Es Botafoc terminal, which is located on the northeastern side of the harbor bay with a view of the historic old town.
Airplane
Ibiza Airport (IBZ) is located only about ten kilometers southwest of the port and is served by direct flights from numerous cities in the DACH region during the cruise season. The travel time to the terminal via the EI-20 expressway is usually only about 15 to 20 minutes, allowing for a very time-saving and comfortable journey from the airport to the ship.
Transfer & Taxi
From the airport, you can easily reach the Es Botafoc cruise terminal or the central Estación Marítima directly by taxi. Alternatively, bus line L10 offers a regular connection from the airport to the city, and small harbor ferries also operate between the old town and the cruise ship berths, providing your first maritime impressions upon arrival.
