For flights to the more distant Rome-Ciampino Airport (CIA), an arrival on the previous day with an overnight stay in Rome or directly in Civitavecchia is recommended due to the longer transfer time.
Train
Civitavecchia station is excellently connected to the main Roman hubs of Roma Termini and Roma Ostiense via the FL5 regional train line. From the station forecourt, the Port Link bus takes you on a short journey directly to the central port entrance at Largo della Pace, from where free port shuttles transport guests to the respective ship berths. Additionally, the station is reachable in about 15 minutes on foot for travelers with light luggage.

Travelers from the north reach the port via the A12 motorway, where the Civitavecchia Nord exit shows the direct route to the port area.
