Milos is a volcanic jewel of the Cyclades and enchants cruise passengers with one of the most spectacular coastal landscapes in the entire Aegean. Absolute highlights include the moon-like beach of Sarakiniko with its bizarre limestone formations and the picturesque fishing village of Klima with its characteristic, colorful boathouses. Thanks to the port's first-class location, the historic capital Plaka and the archaeological museum are also easily accessible. Cruise ships primarily use the berth at the Port of Adamas or anchor in the sheltered bay. As the pier is located directly in the lively center of Adamas, the waterfront promenade, cozy taverns and boutiques are just a few steps away on foot.

Airplane
Arrival from the DACH region usually takes place via Athens International Airport (ATH), from where domestic connecting flights to Milos Airport (MLO) are offered. The flight takes about 40 minutes and is operated by airlines such as Olympic Air and Sky Express. Milos Airport (MLO) is located just 5 kilometers southeast of the main port of Adamas. You can easily reach the port from the airport by taxi in about 5 minutes or by the local bus, which runs during the summer season and has a stop only 100 meters from the airport building.
Ferry
A popular alternative is the ferry connection from the Port of Piraeus in Athens to Milos. The Port of Piraeus is easily accessible from Athens Airport (ATH): Metro Line 3 runs directly to the port in about 60 minutes, or you can use the X96 bus line, which also takes around 60 minutes. Numerous ferry companies such as SeaJets, Minoan Lines, or Fast Ferries operate from Piraeus to Milos. The crossing with a high-speed ferry takes between 2.5 and 3.5 hours, while conventional ferries take 4 to 8 hours and arrive in Adamas.
Pre-Cruise Hotel
Given the combined flight and ferry times or the domestic connecting flights, an overnight stay in a pre-cruise hotel is recommended for a relaxed cruise arrival from the DACH region. This allows you to make the long journey to the starting point stress-free, whether in Athens before the ferry crossing or directly on Milos to explore the charming island before embarkation. The main town of Adamas also offers a good selection of accommodations, restaurants, and shops in the immediate vicinity of the port.
Check-in & Embarkation
Please note that you will usually receive a fixed time slot for check-in with your travel documents, which is binding for your embarkation. Plan sufficient time for the journey to the port accordingly and take into account that the latest embarkation time - depending on the cruise line and destination - is usually scheduled about one hour before the planned departure.
