Cruise ships dock at the central Katakolo Cruise Port, which is located in the immediate vicinity of the lively town center. From this convenient mooring point, visitors can easily reach the colorful shopping street and local cafés within a few minutes' walk.

The berths are directly connected to the harbor promenade, so all important facilities and means of transport can be reached in a few minutes on foot.
Airplane
Arrival from the DACH region is ideally via the regional airports of Araxos (GPA), around 60 kilometers away, or Kalamata (KLX), which lies about 95 kilometers to the south and is served by direct flights during the summer season. For year-round international connections, Athens Airport (ATH) is also available, from which the port can be reached in about three and a half hours by rental car or private transfer thanks to well-developed road connections.
Car & Parking
Travelers can reach the idyllic harbor village directly from the direction of Patras or Kalamata via the well-developed EO9 national road and the E55 European route. A large parking area for cars and buses is located directly at the harbor entrance, and local rental car providers also offer convenient handovers directly at the quay, making individual onward travel or a pre-stay in the Peloponnese region particularly easy.
Train & Shuttle
The Katakolon train station is located only about 200 meters from the ship berths and serves as the central starting point for the direct train connection to the historical site of Olympia. The modern Hellenic Train services usually operate in coordination with the arrival times of the cruise ships and allow for a relaxed journey through the Mediterranean landscape in about 45 minutes; additionally, numerous shuttle buses and taxis are available at the harbor exit for transfers to the surrounding towns.
Check-in & Embarkation
Please note that you will generally receive a fixed time slot for check-in with your travel documents, which is binding for your embarkation. Plan sufficient time for your journey to the port and take into account that the latest embarkation time - depending on the cruise line and destination - is usually scheduled about one hour before the planned departure.
