The Port of Makarska is picturesquely situated on the Dalmatian coast and is easily accessible thanks to its excellent connection to the Croatian motorway network and its proximity to the Split transport hub. The berths for cruise ships are located directly on the lively Obala kralja Tomislava harbor promenade, providing travelers with immediate access to the historic old town.
Airplane
Split Airport (SPU) is the primary arrival point for guests from the DACH region and is located approximately 75 kilometers northwest of Makarska. From there, you can reach the port comfortably in about 60 to 90 minutes by private transfer, taxi, or the regular public buses that offer a direct connection from the airport to the central bus station in Makarska.
Car
Via the Croatian A1 motorway, travelers from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland can quickly head south, ideally using the Zagvozd exit. The route leads through the Sveti Ilija Tunnel directly to the Riviera, where various public parking lots as well as secured private parking spaces are available near the harbor for the duration of the cruise.

Due to the charming location of the Makarska Riviera, we recommend arriving at least one day before embarkation to start your journey relaxed and explore the region's beaches. Numerous hotels directly at the harbor allow for a short, convenient walk to the ship on the morning of departure and often offer assistance in arranging long-term parking.
Check-in & Embarkation
Please note that you will usually receive a fixed time slot for check-in with your travel documents, which is binding for your embarkation.
