In the charming colonial-era buildings, you will discover fascinating exhibits on Inuit culture as well as local history and can also admire the impressive murals that have made Aasiaat known as the "City of Art." Thanks to its central location, the tour can be perfectly combined with a visit to the nearby Aasiaat Sømandshjem, which is known for its cozy atmosphere and sweeping views of Disko Bay. Ideally, plan your visit for the morning to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere in the old quarter and return to the ship relaxed in the early afternoon.

Returning to the ship

The journey back to the port of Aasiaat is extremely relaxed thanks to the compact city structure and the central location of the pier. You can reach your ship safely at any time and enjoy the special atmosphere of the town in peace until departure.

On Foot

Most sights, such as the local museum or the striking church, are located in the immediate vicinity of the harbor basin, so you can easily manage the way back by walking. The colorful wooden houses and the view of the water provide excellent orientation and lead you directly back to your ship's berth.
