Straubing is excellently connected to the long-distance road network and can be easily reached via the A3 and A92 motorways as well as the B8 and B20 federal roads. To travel to the ship, you can take the A3 exit Kirchroth and follow the signs towards the city and the "Am Hagen" large car park, which offers around 2000 parking spaces. Train
Straubing station, centrally located at Bahnhofsplatz 6, is a relevant railway junction that is directly connected to European metropolises via ICE/IC connections. From Straubing station, you can reach the ship landing stage on Uferstraße, which is only about 0.445 kilometers from the city center, comfortably and quickly by taxi.
Airplane
The nearest international airport is Munich (MUC), which is located approximately 82.5 to 115 kilometers from Straubing and allows for a travel time of around 1.5 hours by car. For a comfortable and relaxed onward journey, various taxi companies offer specialized airport transfers from Munich as well as from Nuremberg or Linz to Straubing. Given the distance, booking a transfer in advance is recommended.
Check-in & Embarkation
Please note that you will usually receive a fixed time slot for check-in with your travel documents, which is binding for your embarkation. Plan accordingly and allow sufficient time for travel to the port, and keep in mind that the latest embarkation time - depending on the cruise line and destination area - is usually scheduled about one hour before the planned departure.
The same applies during the journey: For shore excursions, you should be back on board at least one hour before departure. Always pay attention to the current announcements as well as the notices on board, as mooring and departure times can change at short notice.
