Emmerich am Rhein is a picturesque gateway to the Lower Rhine and captivates with its idyllic location right on one of Europe's most important waterways. Cultural highlights include the impressive Emmerich Rhine Bridge – also known as the "Golden Gate of the Lower Rhine" – as well as the exciting Rhine Museum and the historic St. Aldegundis Church. The river cruise ships dock centrally at the piers of the Rhine promenade, allowing guests to reach the city center immediately and easily explore local cafes and sights on foot thanks to the short distances.

Check-in & Einschiffung

Please note that you will usually receive a fixed time slot for check-in with your travel documents, which is binding for your embarkation. Plan sufficient time for the journey to the port accordingly and bear in mind that the latest embarkation time - depending on the cruise line and destination - is usually scheduled about one hour before the planned departure.

The same applies during the journey: for shore excursions, you should be back on board at the latest one hour before departure. Always pay attention to the current announcements and notices on board, as mooring and departure times can change at short notice.
