Port information & tips for Steti

Wegstädtl, today known as Štětí, is a picturesque stop on the banks of the Elbe in the heart of the Bohemian countryside. This charming town impresses with its idyllic location on the edge of the Bohemian Central Highlands and offers a wonderful atmosphere for explorers thanks to its green surroundings. Cultural highlights include the magnificent Baroque Church of Saints Simon and Jude as well as the artistically designed "Gallery in Nature," which enriches the riverside promenades. River cruise ships dock directly at the central Štětí pier (Osobní přístaviště), from where the historic market square and cozy cafes are within a few minutes' walk. This first-class connection allows for effortless exploration of authentic Czech hospitality and the picturesque river landscape.

The cruise port of Wegstädtl, known by its Czech name Štětí, is an important port of call for river cruises on the Elbe and Vltava in the Czech Republic and is easily accessible thanks to its geographical location north of Prague. Although it is a smaller town, the connections for travelers from the DACH region are diverse and allow for a comfortable journey.

Car

Štětí is well connected to the Czech road network. From Germany, you can reach the region via the D8 motorway (E55), which leads from Dresden directly to Prague. Take the exit towards Roudnice nad Labem and then follow the well-signposted country roads to Štětí. Public parking is available on site. It is advisable to clarify the exact mooring point with the cruise line in advance and, if necessary, use private parking providers nearby, as special "Park & Cruise" offers are rarer in Štětí itself.

Train

Štětí railway station is a relevant rail hub located on the routes from Ústí nad Labem to Kolín and Lysá nad Labem. There are train connections from Prague, which often require a change. Alternatively, bus line 369 runs directly from Prague (Ládví stop) to Štětí. The journey from Prague Main Station to Štětí usually takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on the connection. From Štětí station, you can reach the pier on the river by local taxi or a short walk.

Airplane

The nearest international airport is Václav Havel Airport Prague (PRG), located about 38 kilometers south of Štětí. From here, there are numerous direct flight connections from throughout the DACH region. Private transfer services or taxis are available for the transfer from the airport to Štětí, with a travel time of around one hour. Alternatively, you can take public transport from Prague Airport to Prague city center and from there take a bus or train to Štětí. An arrival the day before with an overnight stay in Prague is recommended to start the river cruise in a relaxed manner.

Check-in & Embarkation

Please note that you will usually receive a fixed time slot for check-in with your travel documents, which is binding for your embarkation. Please plan sufficient time for your journey to the port accordingly and bear in mind that the latest embarkation time - depending on the cruise line and destination area - is usually about one hour before the scheduled departure.

The following also applies during the journey: For shore excursions, you should be back on board at least one hour before departure. Always pay attention to the current announcements and the notices on board, as mooring and departure times can change at short notice.
