Belgrade is the vibrant "White City" at the picturesque confluence of the Sava and Danube and marks a cultural highlight of every river cruise through Serbia. Directly above the river, the imposing Kalemegdan Fortress and the adjacent park tower over the city, from where the busy Knez Mihailova shopping street can be reached in just a few steps. The ships dock at the central International Passenger Terminal (Međunarodno putničko pristanište) on the Sava, so that guests arrive in the immediate vicinity of the historical Kosančićev Venac district thanks to the prime location and can comfortably explore all highlights on foot.
The international cruise port of Belgrade is particularly charmingly located on the right bank of the Sava, directly below the historic Kalemegdan Fortress and just a few steps away from the lively old town. Thanks to its central location in the heart of the Serbian capital, the terminal is excellently connected to the international infrastructure for guests from the DACH region.
Airplane
Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport (BEG) is the main hub for international guests and is located approximately 18 kilometers west of the terminal. Renowned airlines offer regular direct connections from Frankfurt, Munich, Vienna, and Zurich, with the onward journey to the quay conveniently taking around 20 to 30 minutes by taxi. At official information counters in the airport, you can purchase vouchers for taxi rides at a fixed price; additionally, the A1 shuttle bus connects the airport directly with the city center.
Auto
For travelers from Southern Germany or Austria, Belgrade is efficiently reachable via the well-developed highway network, with routes usually leading via the A1 (E75) from the direction of Budapest or the A3 (E70) from the direction of Zagreb. Guarded parking spaces are available directly at the port as well as in the immediately adjacent Beton hala parking garage, and many hotels near the center also allow for the secure storage of vehicles throughout the entire cruise.

Due to the central location of the port in the Stari Grad district, arriving a day early is recommended to explore the Serbian metropolis stress-free and enjoy the local gastronomy on the riverbank. Numerous hotels in the old town are located in direct proximity to the berths, so you can relaxed board your ship on the morning of embarkation after a short walk or a minimal taxi ride.
Check-in & Embarkation
Please note that you will generally receive a fixed time slot for check-in with your travel documents, which is binding for your embarkation. Plan sufficient time for your arrival at the port accordingly and take into account that the latest embarkation time - depending on the cruise line and destination - is usually scheduled for about one hour before the planned departure.
The following also applies during the journey: For shore excursions, you should be back on board at least one hour before departure. Always pay attention to the current announcements and the notices on board, as mooring and departure times can change at short notice.
