However, please note that some parking spaces in the town area may have a maximum parking duration of 90 minutes.

The nearest railway station is "Grein Bad Kreuzen," which is located on the Donauuferbahn between Linz and Sarmingstein and was upgraded for barrier-free access in 2011. From there, you can reach the ship pier in a few minutes on foot. Alternatively, there is a bus connection (Line 380) from Amstetten station to the Grein Schiffstation bus station. From there, you can reach Grein by train and bus (Line 380) in about 2 hours and 39 minutes. The closer Linz Airport (LNZ) is about 49 kilometers away and allows for a journey by public transport in around 2 hours and 7 minutes. Private transfers from Vienna are possible in approximately 1 hour and 42 minutes.

It is best to visit the castle in the morning to enjoy the peace of the historic rooms, and afterwards plan enough time for a relaxed café visit at the Greiner Stadtplatz before comfortably returning to the ship about an hour before departure.
