Port Elizabeth on the paradisiacal island of Bequia is the charming gateway to the Grenadines and welcomes travelers with an authentic, maritime island atmosphere. Cruise ships usually use the centrally located Port Elizabeth Jetty, from which the lively town center with its local markets, boutiques, and cafés can be easily reached in just a few minutes' walk.
Port Elizabeth on Bequia, part of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, is a picturesque cruise destination primarily reached via Fly & Cruise. Since Bequia does not have an international airport, arrival is via the main island of St. Vincent, followed by a convenient island transfer. Cruise ships anchor in the idyllic Admiralty Bay, from where passengers are comfortably transported by tender boats directly to the charming main town.

The nearest international airport is Argyle International Airport (SVD) on the main island of St. Vincent. There are no direct flights from the DACH region; travel typically involves one or more stopovers via major hubs in North America or the Caribbean. Airlines such as American Airlines, Caribbean Airlines, and Air Canada offer connections.
Island Transfer & Shuttle
Two convenient options are available for your onward journey from Argyle International Airport (SVD) on St. Vincent to Bequia. You can enjoy a scenic ferry ride from Kingstown to Port Elizabeth, which takes about one hour. The taxi ride from the airport to the ferry terminal in Kingstown takes approximately 30 to 50 minutes. Alternatively, there is the option of a short domestic flight from SVD to J.F. Mitchell Airport (BQU) on Bequia, which only takes about 5 to 10 minutes. On Bequia itself, Port Elizabeth is reachable from the airport (BQU) or ferry terminal by local taxis, although many areas of the compact town can also be explored on foot in about 15 minutes.
Pre-Cruise Hotel
Due to the multi-stage journey with long-haul flights and the subsequent island transfer, it is highly recommended to spend at least one night in a hotel on St. Vincent or directly on Bequia before embarkation.
