Cruise ships dock at the modern Northland Cruise Terminal, which is located directly in the Cow Bay District and, thanks to its central location, allows for a convenient walk of just a few minutes directly into the lively city center.
Prince Rupert is located on the wild and romantic west coast of British Columbia and serves as a gateway to the Inside Passage and the wilderness of Alaska. The Northland Cruise Terminal is centrally located and is characterized by short distances and a clear process directly at the harbor's edge.
Airplane
Prince Rupert Airport (YPR) is served several times daily from Vancouver (YVR), which travelers from the DACH region can easily reach via direct flight. Since the regional airport is located on Digby Island, a coordinated transfer by shuttle bus and ship-owned ferry is organized, which takes you directly to the city center of Prince Rupert in about 45 to 60 minutes.
Train & Ferry
A particularly impressive way to arrive is via VIA Rail on the route from Jasper to Prince Rupert, whose station is located directly at Rotary Waterfront Park and offers a convenient connection to the terminal. In addition, BC Ferries ships from Port Hardy as well as Alaska Marine Highway ferries call at the port and allow for a seamless combination of different sea routes before the cruise thanks to their central docking points.
Pre-Cruise Hotel
Due to the long journey from Europe and the location at the end of Highway 16, a stay of at least one night before embarkation in Prince Rupert is recommended. Renowned accommodations such as the Crest Hotel or the Highliner Plaza Hotel are within walking distance or only a few minutes' drive from the terminal and, thanks to their location, offer ideal conditions for a relaxed start to the trip.
