From Inverness station, you can easily reach Ullapool by bus. The 961 bus route operated by Scottish Citylink runs several times a day between Inverness Bus Station and Ullapool; the journey takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes.
Airplane
Inverness Airport (INV) is the closest airport to Ullapool and is located about 90 kilometers to the southeast. It offers connections to major British airports such as London (Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton), Manchester, and Bristol. From Inverness Airport, you can reach Inverness city center by taxi or bus and then continue to Ullapool with the aforementioned 961 bus line. The total transfer time can be between 2 and 3 hours depending on connections and waiting times, which is why arriving the day before with an overnight stay in Inverness is recommended.
