Port information & tips for Gotska Sandön

Gotska Sandön is an untouched natural paradise in the middle of the Baltic Sea and is considered one of Sweden's most remote and fascinating national parks. The island impresses with its vast, white sandy beaches, dense pine forests, and an almost magical silence that immediately captivates nature lovers. Highlights include the historic lighthouse settlement of Fyrbyn, the impressive dune landscape at Höga Åsen, and the observation of rare grey seals on the coast. As the island does not have a permanent pier, cruise ships anchor off the coast and transfer guests by tender boat to natural landing sites such as Las Palmas or Bredsand. From there, hiking trails lead directly into the wilderness, and the short distances allow for effortless exploration of the island's most important highlights on foot.
