Cruise port Swinoujscie

Swinemünde, located on the Polish Baltic coast, is easily accessible by car thanks to the new Swinetunnel connection and also offers good train and flight connections for a relaxed journey from the DACH region. The port serves both as an important ferry port and as a port of call for cruise ships.

Car

Thanks to the good road connections, you can easily reach Swinemünde from Germany. From Berlin, the A11/E28 leads to Goleniów and from there the E65 goes directly to the port. Travelers from the Lübeck/Hamburg region use the A20 motorway to Gützkow and then follow the B111/110 towards Swinemünde, with the Swinetunnel, opened in 2023, ensuring a convenient connection to the island of Usedom. The S3 express road, completed in 2025, also offers a direct connection from the south and facilitates the journey for guests from southern Germany, Austria, or Switzerland. In the Swinemünde urban area, there are paid parking zones and guarded parking lots; payment is conveniently made at machines or via official apps such as SkyCash and mobiParking.

Train

Swinemünde Central Station (Świnoujście Centrum) is easily accessible thanks to good train connections from Germany, and the Deutschlandticket can even be used up to this station. From there, you can easily reach the cruise terminal or the ferry port with city buses line 11 or 5 heading towards Łęgowa to the "Szkoła Morska" stop, which is only about 300 meters from the Finnlines check-in office. Another option is the "Świnoujście Port" station, which is located directly on the port premises and offers a short walk of just a few minutes to the ferry port.

Airplane

The nearest international airport is Solidarity Szczecin-Goleniów Airport (SZZ), located about 55 to 70 kilometers from Swinemünde. From there, flexible transfer options are available, including taxis that cover the distance in around 80 to 90 minutes and cost about 230 PLN (approx. 50 euros). Alternatively, you can use private transfer services that allow a direct drive to your destination in Swinemünde. For shorter journeys on Usedom, Heringsdorf Airport (HDF) is also an option, located only about 8 kilometers away and considered the fastest option with a travel time of around 59 minutes.

Check-in & Embarkation

Please note that you will usually receive a fixed time slot for check-in with your travel documents, which is binding for your embarkation. Plan accordingly sufficient time for the journey to the port and take into account that the latest embarkation time - depending on the cruise line and destination area - is usually scheduled about one hour before the planned departure.

The same applies during the cruise: For shore excursions, you should be back on board at the latest one hour before departure. Always pay attention to the current announcements as well as the notices on board, as mooring and departure times can change at short notice.
