Car

Pori is excellently connected to the Finnish road network via state roads 2, 8, 11, and 23. In the city center, practical, time-limited parking with a parking disc is available at the Isokarhu and Sokos shopping centers. Additionally, there is a large free 24-hour parking lot near the Matkakeskus (travel center), between Valtatie 2 and the train station. Specific Park & Cruise offers directly at the terminal are not explicitly designated, but the city's options provide a good solution for travelers.

Train

Pori train station is an important regional hub and offers train connections to Tampere (approx. 1.5 hours travel time) and Helsinki (approx. 3.5 hours travel time, usually with a change in Tampere). From Pori main station, you can easily reach the port area and the city center by local bus or taxi.

Airplane

Pori Airport (POR) is advantageously located almost in the city center and offers direct flights from Helsinki, enabling a quick arrival. For international guests, Helsinki Airport (HEL) is the nearest major airport, about 215 kilometers away. From there, good transfer options to Pori exist: direct buses take about 3 to 4 hours, while train connections with one change take around 3.5 hours. When traveling from the DACH region, an overnight stay in Pori or Helsinki is recommended beforehand to start your cruise in a relaxed manner.

Check-in & Embarkation

Please note that you will usually receive a fixed time slot for check-in with your travel documents, which is binding for your embarkation. Plan sufficient time for your journey to the port accordingly and consider that the latest embarkation time—depending on the cruise line and destination area—is usually scheduled about one hour before the planned departure.

The same applies during the trip: for shore excursions, you should be back on board at least one hour before departure. Always pay attention to the current announcements as well as the notices on board, as mooring and departure times can change at short notice.
