Cruise ships dock at the modern Mumbai International Cruise Terminal at Ballard Pier, which is located right in the heart of South Mumbai and also offers excellent connections to the lively districts of Colaba and Fort.
The Port of Mumbai is the most important gateway for cruises in India, featuring the modern Mumbai International Cruise Terminal at Ballard Pier. Thanks to its location in the historic Ballard Estate district in the south of the city, the terminal is well integrated into the urban infrastructure and easily accessible for international travelers.
Airplane
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM) serves as the central hub and is regularly served by direct flights from Frankfurt, Munich, and Zurich. The distance to the cruise terminal is approximately 25 kilometers, with transfer times via the Eastern Freeway or the Bandra-Worli Sea Link ranging between 60 and 90 minutes, depending on the time of day.
Train & Shuttle
The magnificent Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) railway station is a major hub for long-distance travel and is located only about three kilometers from the port. From there, you can reach Ballard Pier in a short taxi ride of about 15 minutes; additionally, the new Metro Line 3 provides further connections near the port area.
Pre-Cruise Hotel
Due to the long flight duration from Europe and the lively traffic in the metropolis, arriving the day before your cruise is highly recommended. Numerous hotels are located in the Colaba and Fort districts in the immediate vicinity of the port, allowing for a relaxed check-in and providing an ideal starting point for sightseeing, such as the Gateway of India.
Check-in & Embarkation
Please note that your travel documents will generally provide you with a fixed time slot for check-in, which is mandatory for your embarkation.
