Airplane
Travel from the DACH region typically takes place via long-haul flight to Madagascar, usually to Ivato International Airport (TNR) in Antananarivo. From there, domestic flights are available to Arrachart Airport (DIE) in Antsiranana (Diego Suarez) in northern Madagascar, which takes about 1 hour and 55 minutes. Another option is Fascene Nosy Be Airport (NOS) on the island of Nosy Be, which is also accessible via domestic flights in about 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Transfer & Local Boats
From Antsiranana, you can reach Nosy Hara by land transfer and boat. It is about a 34-kilometer drive in an off-road vehicle to a small village, followed by a motorboat trip of 45 minutes to 1.5 hours. From Nosy Be, Nosy Hara is also reachable by pleasure boat, usually via the Mitsio Islands, in less than 24 hours. Cruise ships calling at Nosy Hara generally anchor and use the ship's own tender boats for transfers to the islands. Permits and early planning with local providers are required in advance for all transfers to Nosy Hara, as there are no regular scheduled services.

Due to the long international flights and complex local transfer routes, an overnight stay in Antananarivo, Antsiranana, or Nosy Be is strongly recommended before continuing your journey to Nosy Hara.
