Tuk-Tuks

Three-wheeled motorcycle taxis are ready at the port exit and are the most important means of transport on the island. They allow for quick onward travel to the beaches in the north or south and, thanks to their open design, offer a pleasant breeze during the journey.

This car-free oasis offers you white powdery beaches and crystal-clear, turquoise water as well as a wonderful infrastructure with inviting beach restaurants serving freshly caught fish and cool coconuts. On Foot

If you are directly in the main town of Ambodifotatra, simply walk along the busy main street back to the port area. The path is direct and takes you past the local handicraft market, from where the tender boat landing stage or the pier is already clearly visible and safely accessible.

Many of the beach resorts in the south or north offer their own transfers and reliably bring guests directly to the port gate in Ambodifotatra. You can also use the local shared taxis, which regularly travel along the coastal road and, thanks to short intervals, drop you off at the terminal on time for your ship's departure.
