The newest member of Royal Caribbean International's "Quantum" class is the Spectrum of the Seas. It was built in the Meyer Shipyard in Germany. The cruise lines newcomer serves various, mostly short routes in Asia. Like its sister ships, the Spectrum of the Seas offers plenty of room for passengers on a length of about 350 meters and 16 decks. This makes the ship one of the largest ships sailing our oceans. In terms of entertainment and variety as many great highlights are offered, as on the other ships of Royal Caribbean International.

Royal Caribbean International is a brand with an incredible history and unlimited potential. The cruise line not only sets new standards by the size of the ships, but also by its degree of innovation. Especially the entertainment programm on their vessels is a new invention. The ships are convincing due to a variety of sport offers and leisure activities for every age group. Particularly the outdoor area offers great experiences with ice rinks or zip lines. However not only the big vessels, but also the smaller ones offer plenty options to have fun in a relaxed atmosphere. In the different restaurants you expect tasty dishes combined with an attentive service. On board, all age groups feel at home. Due to the company's heritage a basic knowledge in English is recommended. Another thing to take into considerations is that the additional costs are higher than on German ships.

Staterooms

TV, telephone, private bathroom with shower, dressing table and hair dryer are standard in all cabins. The cabins have two single beds, which can be pushed together to make a double bed. You have the choice between all common cabin categories, such as inside, outside and balcony cabins. For those who want even more comfort, there are various types of suites that leave hardly a wish unfulfilled. Families can look forward to baby-friendly cabins and extra family cabins with connecting doors. All cabins come with free 24-hour cabin service.

Atmosphere on Board

Also Royal Caribbean’s Spectrum of the Seas is a ship for all ages, but especially for guests who appreciate the comprehensive entertainment on a large cruise ship. The audience aboard the ships is international, the atmosphere relaxed and cheerful. The service is friendly and very professional, just typical for an American cruise line. On some evenings, festive attire is expected in the main restaurant. However, if you like it more casual, you can switch to other restaurants on evenings like this.

Food and Beverages

Also in terms of cuisine, the Spectrum of the Seas will be in no way inferior to its sister ships. Numerous restaurants, bars, lounges and cafes offer a huge variety of delicacies at any time of the day. Various specialty restaurants complete the offer of the main and buffet restaurants. There is an extra charge in the specialty restaurants and a reservation is recommended. As with all other services on board, a service charge will be added to the drinks prices

Entertainment, Sports and Relaxation

Like all ships of the cruise line, also the Spectrum of the Seas offers entertainment for every taste: from quiet sounds in the evening to wild party nights in the club - here everyone gets their money's worth. During the day there are various attractions, such as the impressive "North Star", which you will also find on other ships of Royal Caribbean International. This is a jewel-shaped capsule that lets you float 90 meters above the sea, giving you spectacular views of the ocean and destinations. The Vitality Spa offers pure relaxation, with state-of-the-art service and soothing pampering and beauty treatments, which you can enjoy for a fee. The large fitness area with stunning sea views invites you to sporting excellence, after which you can relax in the pool with relaxation area ("solarium") or in the sauna. In addition to a jogging track, other sports facilities will be available, such as a basketball court and other ball sports.
