Norwegian Sky is the sister ship of Norwegian Sun and with 77,104 GT, is one of the smaller ships in the fleet. There are numerous bars and 6 different restaurants on board to ensure your culinary well-being. The Mandara Spa, the Stardust Theater, two pools and many other amenities provide a variety of entertainment.

Norwegian Cruise Line is a US cruise line that was founded in Norway in 1966. Typical for the cruise line are the colorful paintings on the ships as well as the relaxed atmosphere and flexibility on board. Take advantage of various dining options without fixed table times and decide for yourself whether you prefer to dress casually or elegantly. The ships of Norwegian Cruise Line have an international flair and the onboard language is English. On all voyages, menus are available in German and, depending on the route and number of guests, guest service is also offered in German. However, a basic knowledge of English is recommended.

Sustainability Norwegian Sky

Norwegian Cruise Line has set itself several climate protection targets. For example, they want to reduce greenhouse gas intensity by 25 % from 2019 to 2030 and achieve the net-zero goal by 2050. 50 % of the fleet is already equipped with shore power technology and alternative fuels such as biodiesel are being tested. In addition, evaporators and reverse osmosis systems ensure increased water production on board, which means that a smaller supply of fresh water is required. Employee training and strict recycling programs reduce the amount of waste on board.

Norwegian Sky Staterooms

The staterooms are very modern and comfortable. The inside and outside staterooms are about 11-13 sqm in size, while the balcony cabins measure about 18 sqm. The staterooms usually have 2 lower beds that convert to a queen-size bed. Some staterooms also have a 3rd and 4th bed, usually as an upper folding bed. Guests of the suites (between 37 and 77 sqm) are offered many additional amenities such as extra-large balconies, small daily attentions and a concierge and butler service.

The atmosphere onboard the Norwegian Sky is easy and relaxed. The guests are from numerous different countries. You can pack festive clothes, as there are gala dinners in some restaurants. You do not feel like dressing up? No problem - there are no strict clothing rules on board. In the main restaurants only swimwear and shorts are not wanted. Norwegian Cruise Line offers the perfect holiday for young and young at heart people. At the same time there are always quiet corners, cozy bars and places on deck, so that all guests get their money’s worth.

Norwegian Sky restaurants, bars & lounges

On board the Norwegian Sky you can choose between many different dining options. There are no fixed table times. In the specialty restaurants on board, you can enjoy delicious dishes from all over the world at an additional cost. There is a French restaurant, a steakhouse and a restaurant serving Italian specialties. The Norwegian Sky also offers several restaurants that are already included in the cruise price. At no extra charge, there is a buffet restaurants, two à la carte restaurants and 24-hour cabin service. Numerous bars, cafes and lounges complete the culinary offer on board.

Norwegian Sky entertainment, sport and wellness

There are many entertainment options on board Norwegian Sky. You can enjoy great shows in the two-story Stardust Theater, or test your luck at slot machines or blackjack in the casino. For quieter evenings, you can retreat to one of the bars or lounges and review the eventful day. For those who enjoy sports, the Pulse Fitness Center offers various training machines and aerobics, spinning and fitness classes. Anyone who prefers to exercise in the fresh air can burn off energy on the jogging track. The Mandara Spa offers relaxing massages and treatments (for a fee). Two pools and multiple whirlpools as well as the surrounding loungers provide further opportunities to relax.

Norwegian Sky children

For young guests, there is a youth program with a variety of activities with qualified supervisors. The Splash Academy offers children between the ages of 3 and 12 years the opportunity to pursue their favorite activities together with other children. Teenagers aged between 13 and 17 years can play video games, make music, be creative or do sports together in the Entourage. In the evenings, Entourage hosts various parties such as College Night or White Hot Party. There are also exciting activities for the whole family, from game shows and sports competitions to scavenger hunts. If you want to spend a romantic evening for two, you can bring your children aged between 3 and 12 to the Late Night Fun Zone for a fee. Here your children will be looked after between 10 pm and midnight. As the center closes if no child has been dropped off by 11 pm, we recommend that you register your children in advance.

Norwegian Sky shore excursions

When traveling with Norwegian Sky, you can book shore excursions online in advance or on board at the shore excursion desk. Most shore excursions are in English. On European cruises, however, the cruise line also offers several shore excursions in German. On Canada, New England, South America and Panama Canal cruises, selected shore excursions are also available in German. A requirement for the shore excursions in German is that the minimum number of 30 participants is reached.
