The Carnival Corporation is the largest cruise company in the world and operates several different brands. The cruise line ‘Carnival Cruise Lines’ has the largest fleet in the group with 24 vessels. The fleet sails almost exclusively in the seas of North America and the Caribbean. For Carnival Cruise Lines the guest's experience of the ships is at least as important as the visited destinations. The concept is comparable to a club holiday and convinces an active, mostly younger audience. The ships offer a colorful world of experience including high-quality food, award-winning entertainment and excellent child and youth care. On board you will find mostly Americans.

The Carnival Sunshine was commissioned in 1996 as the Carnival Destiny. She was converted and re-christened the Carnival Sunshine in 2013. On 13 decks, the young and young-at-heart passengers are offered a lot of fun, entertainment and comfort. The ship offers space for a total of 3002 guests with double occupancy of the cabins.

The cabins on the Carnival Sunshine are modern and comfortably furnished and quite spacious. The standard cabins measure approximately 16 sqm, the Ocean Suites, for example, are between 23 and 31 sqm. Many cabins have their own balcony.

The Carnival Sunshine offers something for everyone: disco, clubs, bars and lounges or the show stage at the Lido Pool, a jogging track or simply a comfortable deck chair on the sun deck. Here, everyone can organise their holiday according to their wishes. Dress is casual during the day, and festive in the evening in the main restaurant. In the buffet restaurant there is always something delicious to eat, even without a dress code.

At meals, guests can choose from a variety of buffets or dine in the restaurant with service. For dinner, the main restaurant offers two sittings or open table time. For a fee, there are four speciality restaurants on board. At the Steakhouse, guests can expect succulent steaks, delicious fillets and fresh salads, while Bonsai Sushi and Ji Ji Asian Kitchen offer Asian delicacies. Delicious Italian cuisine is served at Cucina del Capitano. There is also a complimentary 24-hour room service that brings some small treats to your cabin.

Las Vegas-style shows are presented every evening in the huge theatre. There is a casino, numerous bars and various opportunities for dancing. Especially for the younger guests, there is a disco on board. A karaoke bar, various international bands, artists and comedians round off the entertainment on offer.

On board there is a sauna, whirlpool and steam bath as well as a fitness centre with steppers, treadmills, bicycles and weights. Fitness classes are also offered here.
