About Carnival Cruise Line
The Carnival Corporation is the largest cruise company in the world and operates several different brands. The cruise line ‘Carnival Cruise Lines’ has the largest fleet in the group with 24 vessels. The fleet sails almost exclusively in the seas of North America and the Caribbean. For Carnival Cruise Lines the guest's experience of the ships is at least as important as the visited destinations. The concept is comparable to a club holiday and convinces an active, mostly younger audience. The ships offer a colorful world of experience including high-quality food, award-winning entertainment and excellent child and youth care. On board you will find mostly Americans.
The Carnival Horizon entered service in April 2018 and since then, has cruised the world's oceans as one of the youngest members of the Carnival Cruise Line fleet. With a length of 321 meters it can accommodate up to 3,934 passengers and thus will be just a little smaller than its sister ship, the Carnival Vista.
The Carnival Horizon offers a variety of different cabin categories . You can choose from luxurious suites to family rooms to cabins with a private balcony - there is something for everyone here. All staterooms are very modern, offering all amenities and comfort that you would expect from a good hotel room.
Atmosphere on Board
Carnival Cruise Lines calls their vessels fun ships and yes: it is very difficult not to be entertained on board. But this does not mean that passengers will feel disturbed by wildly partying people all day. There is enough room to relax and enjoy some quietness. The dress-code reflects this concept: casual attire is perfect for almost any situation. Only for dinner in the main restaurants a more elegant style is recommended. There are even one or two festive evenings, where evening dress is required, but you may easily escape this when not dining in the à la carte restaurants. Though guests come from all over the world, usually most people on board are US citizens.
Food and Beverages
Tastefully prepared dishes from all over the world can be enjoyed at the numerous restaurants aboard the Carnival Horizon. In addition to the buffet restaurants, you can also enjoy delicious dishes in one of the à la carte restaurants. For a fee you can enjoy delicacies from all over the world in one of the many specialty restaurants. In addition to a steakhouse, you will also find sushi and a teppanyaki restaurant on board. Classic fish dishes and Italian cuisine can also be found aboard the Carnival Horizon. There is something for every taste on this ship.
Entertainment, Sports and Relaxation
The Carnival Horizon offers many exciting attractions, guaranteeing that boredom won’t be a topic at any time on board. Try out the SkyRide, where you can pedal your way around the top deck and explore the ship from a different point of view or get soaked on Carnival WaterWorks, featuring a huge waterslide and tons fun. Last but not least, also the almost obligatory shows, bars and nightclubs on board ensure fun for everyone. For fans of sports there are various options to get physically active, such as the sports center with different fitness equipment and a variety of sports courses. You prefer it a bit calmer? No problem, you will find everything regarding relaxation and well-being in the spa area.
The great cuisine, diversified entertainment options as well as the appealing and modern interior make the Carnival Horizon a destination in itself. This ship demonstrates impressively what is possible on cruise ships nowadays.
