About Azamara
Azamara is the 5-star brand of Royal Caribbean International. The smaller, more personal ships are designed for approximately 700 guests and offer excellent service in the style of a premium boutique hotel. Due to the ships’ small size they can sail smaller ports, away from the usual routes in more than 60 countries around the world. Longer stays in the ports allow guests to get to know the visited countries, cultures and people more intensively. Especially experienced cruise guests feel addressed by the Azamara ships. The board language is English.
The Ship
The Azamara Quest is one of four ships of Azamara. It was put into operation in 2000 and most recently modernized in April 2016. The ship offers all the amenities of a modern premium cruise ship. The spa invites you to relax, while the buffet, main restaurant or two specialty restaurants offer culinary delights. Evening entertainment, a casino and shops with exclusive brand products complete the variety of possibilities on board. With a length of only 180 meters, the Azamara Quest is the perfect ship for smaller ports and unusual destinations. 390 crew members care for the maximum of 694 passengers, which ensures a high quality of service.
Staterooms
The modern and comfortably furnished cabins and have been redesigned during the last refurbishment. Noble stones and porcelains as well as new color concepts enhance the cabins and suites. The two spa suites include a bathtub and a shower with a view of the open air. All cabins feature fine Egyptian quilts and linens, bathrobes and slippers, 24-hour cabin service and many other amenities. Many cabins have their own balcony and are between 13 to 16 square meters in size. The suites feature, among other things, an English butler service, preferred embarkation and disembarkation, and a variety of premium drinks. The size of the suites varies between 25 and 52 square meters.
Atmosphere on Board
Aboard the Azamara ships, guests of all ages will feel comfortable, with most of them being of middle or upper age. On board, it is exclusive, but the dress code is sporty-elegant. For evening events, guests like to dress a little more elegant, but evening wear is not necessary either. Especially guests who appreciate the international atmosphere feel comfortable on board. Guests who have already seen much of the world will surely discover new, exciting destinations with Azamara. Due to the small size of the ship, the Azamara Quest also runs into smaller, rarely visited harbors. For families with children, the ships are less suitable.
Food and Beverages
In the main restaurant "Discoveries & Discoveries Bar" changing dishes and menus are offered. Without fixed table times and fixed seats, passengers have great flexibility in their evening entertainment. In addition to the main restaurant, there is a buffet restaurant on the Azamara Quest with a spacious outdoor area and two specialty restaurants for a fee. The "Aqualina" offers noble Mediterranean cuisine, while guests in the "Prime C Steakhouse" get spoiled with a special meat selection. In addition, there are special delicacies, such as wild Beluga caviar in the "Caviar & Champagne Bar" or sandwiches for a snack as well as tea specialties in the Looking Glass Lounge or in the "The Living Room".
Entertainment, Sports and Relaxation
The Azamara Quest offers a large fitness and spa area, transforming the ship into a unique oasis of well-being. In addition to a sauna and a swimming pool, numerous treatments are offered on board (for a fee), such as thalassotherapy and various massages. Sports enthusiasts will get their money's worth in the fitness area with modern equipment and personal trainers. Often, Azamara invites experts on board who give lectures on travel destinations and insider tips. In the evening, there are shows, dancing and live music. Also the casino on board lures to challenge the luck. With a delicious cocktail at the bar, guests enjoy ending the evening after an eventful or relaxing day at sea.
