Returning to the ship

The Grand Turk Cruise Center at the southern tip of the island impresses with its modern terminal structure and its direct location on turquoise coral reefs. Thanks to the compact island area and the immediate proximity to the regional airport, the journey to the ship is extremely efficient and comfortable.

Airplane

Travel from Germany, Austria, or Switzerland usually takes place via a long-haul flight to Providenciales International Airport (PLS), followed by a short connecting flight to JAGS McCartney International Airport (GDT) on Grand Turk. This island airport is located only about three kilometers from the cruise terminal, so guests arrive at the pier in a very short time after landing.

Transfer & Taxi

From the airport, travelers can easily reach the terminal by the taxis available, with the travel time often being less than ten minutes due to the short distance. In addition, many cruise lines and local service providers offer organized shuttle transfers that accompany guests directly from the runway to the harbor entrance, enabling a smooth transition to check-in.

Pre-Cruise Hotel

Due to the multi-stage flight connection, arriving in the Turks and Caicos Islands at least one day before the planned departure is recommended. An overnight stay in the charming island capital of Cockburn Town or in the beachside resorts allows for a relaxed start to the vacation while providing the security of reaching the ship on time and without time pressure the next morning.

Check-in & Embarkation

Please note that you will usually receive a fixed time slot for check-in with your travel documents, which is binding for your embarkation. Plan sufficient time for the journey to the port accordingly and take into account that the latest embarkation time—depending on the cruise line and destination—is usually scheduled about one hour before the planned departure.

The following also applies during the journey: For shore excursions, you should be back on board at least one hour before departure. Always observe the current announcements and notices on board, as mooring and departure times can change at short notice.
