On Foot

The city center of Road Town, with its shops and historic landmarks, can be easily reached in about 5 to 10 minutes. The path leads directly through the Tortola Pier Park and offers a relaxed start to your stay.

Safari Buses

The island's typical, open-air safari buses wait for passengers directly at the port grounds. These special vehicles offer a breezy ride to famous beaches like Cane Garden Bay while providing a wide view over the picturesque coastal landscape.

Taxi and Ferry

Numerous official taxis are available immediately at the terminal exit and will take you quickly to destinations across the entire island. Additionally, the ferry terminal for excursions to Virgin Gorda or Jost Van Dyke is easily accessible on foot or with a short taxi ride.

Road Town & Main Street

Cane Garden Bay

Cane Garden Bay is easily accessible from the port in about twenty minutes by typical safari taxi and impresses with its picturesque horseshoe shape and crystal-clear, calm water. This stretch of coastline is ideal for cruise guests, as it offers an excellent tourist infrastructure with numerous beach bars, comfortable lounger rentals, and first-class service options. Thanks to the relaxed atmosphere and the diverse gastronomy directly by the sea, you can enjoy a perfect Caribbean day here with views of the neighboring islands. It is best to visit the beach directly in the morning to secure one of the sought-after spots in the shade of the palm trees, and plan your return journey to the ship for stress-free boarding at least ninety minutes before departure.

The way back to the Tortola Pier Park is very straightforward thanks to the central location in Road Town and the well-organized transportation structure.

Taxi and Safari Buses

Safari buses and taxis are reliably available at popular beaches such as Cane Garden Bay or Brewers Bay and will take guests directly back to the harbor entrance. In Road Town itself, you will find central taxi stands at the Ferry Terminal as well as in front of larger hotels like Maria's by the Sea, from where the ride to the ship takes only a few minutes.

On Foot

The cruise terminal is immediately adjacent to the Tortola Pier Park, so you can easily stroll back from Main Street or the shopping streets in Wickham’s Cay in five to ten minutes. The path is safe and, thanks to the ships being visible from afar in the harbor, easy to use for orientation at any time.

Ferries

Those returning from excursions to Virgin Gorda or Jost Van Dyke use the Road Town Ferry Terminal, which is located in the immediate vicinity of the Pier Park. From there, you can reach the gangway after a short walk along the water, simply passing through the local checkpoints at the harbor entrance.
