From the airport, the GC-1 highway leads directly to the port area in the north of the island capital in about 20 to 25 minutes over a distance of around 25 kilometers.

Playa de Las Canteras

A natural limestone reef ensures calm waters and makes the beach perfect for a relaxed swim in the Atlantic; additionally, the numerous cafes along the lively promenade invite you to sample local tapas with a direct view of the sea. It is best to visit the beach in the morning to secure an ideal spot in the fine sand, and return to the ship in a relaxed manner about ninety minutes before departure.

Returning to the ship

Returning to the ship in Las Palmas is extremely relaxed and safe thanks to the central location of the Muelle de Santa Catalina terminal.

Taxi

You will find numerous taxi ranks throughout the city, particularly conveniently located directly at Santa Catalina Park as well as at marked points along the Las Canteras beach promenade. The white vehicles are also available in front of major hotels such as the AC Hotel Gran Canaria and, thanks to the short distances, will take you directly to the port entrance within a few minutes.

Public Buses (Guaguas)

The central Santa Catalina bus station is located directly opposite the port entrance and serves as an ideal landmark for your return journey. From the historic old town of Vegueta, the yellow city buses of lines 1 or 12 will bring you back to the port quickly, with stops being easy to find thanks to clear displays, enabling a punctual arrival.

On Foot

From the popular city beach Las Canteras or the directly adjacent El Muelle shopping center, you can stroll back to the pier in just 5 to 10 minutes in a completely relaxed manner. The path leads over level and well-lit promenades directly to the guarded access of the cruise terminal, allowing you to enjoy the maritime atmosphere until boarding.
