Alternatively, private taxi transfers offer a direct connection to Oban in around 1 hour 49 minutes to 2 hours 15 minutes. From the ferry terminal in Oban, you then take the ferry to Craignure on Mull (approx. 45-minute crossing), where connecting buses (Route 495/496 by West Coast Motors) will take you to Tobermory in about 40 minutes. For a relaxed start, a pre-cruise overnight stay in Glasgow or Oban is recommended for long journeys.

Returning to the ship

Taxi

Taxis have limited availability on Mull and can be easily found on Main Street or near the Tobermory Distillery. For the return journey from more distant destinations such as Duart Castle or Glengorm Castle, a timely advance reservation with local providers is recommended to ensure a punctual and stress-free arrival at the pier.

Bus

The public buses of West Coast Motors connect popular excursion destinations like Calgary Beach directly with Tobermory town center. The central stop is located at the Ledaig parking lot right next to the ferry terminal, so after disembarking, you only have a very short walk to the waiting tender boats.

On Foot
