The nearest airport, Molde-Arø (MOL), is approximately 55 kilometers away and is served regularly via the Oslo hub. From there, you can reach the port in about an hour's drive by airport bus or rental car via the E64 and E136; additionally, Ålesund Airport (AES), approximately 120 kilometers away, offers further international connections as well as private shuttle services.

Car

Åndalsnes is excellently connected to the Norwegian long-distance road network and the important North-South E6 connection via the E136 European route. Managed parking areas are available directly at the port and near the Norsk Tindesenter; furthermore, providers such as Onepark allow for easy payment of parking fees via an app for the duration of your stay.

Thanks to the short distances and the excellent local infrastructure, this excursion can be designed in a wonderfully relaxed way and also offers first-class photo opportunities directly above the ship. Ideally, visit the gondola right at opening in the morning to enjoy the clear mountain air in peace, and return relaxed to the harbor in the early afternoon to still have time for a stroll through the charming town center.

Returning to the ship

The return journey to Åndalsnes port is extremely straightforward and relaxed thanks to the central location of the Tindekaia pier. Since the most important points of interest are located directly by the water, you will reach your ship punctually and safely.

On Foot

From the town center, the Norsk Tindesenter, or the base station of the Romsdalsgondolen, a short walk of barely five minutes leads directly back to the pier. Navigation is easy, as the ship is visible from almost everywhere in town and the flat paths to the port area are also very well signposted.

Taxi

An official taxi service can be found directly at the Åndalsnes Skysstasjon train station, which is located just 200 meters from the pier. Here you can easily request a vehicle for the return journey from sights such as the Trollwall and, thanks to reliable local providers like Rauma Taxi, arrive at the ship on time.

Bus & Train

All regional buses and the trains of the Rauma Railway arrive at the central Åndalsnes Skysstasjon station, which is located within direct sight of the cruise ship. From there, simply walk across the station forecourt back to the port entrance and reach your destination comfortably and safely without any detours.
