Travel from the DACH region typically takes place via long-haul flights to major Canadian cities such as Ottawa (YOW), Montreal (YUL), or Toronto (YYZ). From there, connecting flights are available to Iqaluit Airport (YFB), the main airport on Baffin Island and often the starting point for Arctic expeditions. Airlines such as Canadian North offer daily direct flights from Ottawa to Iqaluit, which take approximately 3 hours and 15 minutes. Alternatively, some Arctic cruises may also start from Greenland, with flights from Reykjavík (Iceland) to Nuuk (Greenland) or Kangerlussuaq (Greenland) serving as embarkation points.
